Had a question about the new caddy rule and lining up a player. I understand it for the most part but if I am standing in front of my player for example on a putting green and the hole is between us once they take there stance would I be able to direct them verbally since I am not standing behind the player. Also could I direct them from some other position like from the side. I guess does this rule just prohibit giving alignment advice from behind the player? Was just a bit confused on this. I didn't see this live, but I would bet that what one of the commenters in the story said was true..... that the caddy was probably holding the flagstick so he would have been walking to the hole anyways. Either way, probably not a great look for Dufner.

I wanted to just say how much I love my Garmin Vivo Active watch for golf. My wife bought it for me as a triathlon training tool (I did one and won't make that mistake again ;-)). It has got a great feature for golf. I love how I can always look down at my watch and know exactly how far away from the green I am. Hey everyone, I'm seeking validation for a startup I've created which is essentially the UBER for hiring one or more Caddies for your round. This would be an app that allows you to find or post a request for a caddy and hire them for your round. Rates would be cheaper than hiring a caddy from a clubhouse and all monetary transactions would occur within the app. Keep in mind that the caddies on the app will most likely be high school and college kids with 1-5 years experience.
