  1. I'd like to celebrate the great scorecards we see in golf. What's great about this is whether the course is top 50 in the world or barely makes the top 50 within 50 miles of you, it can have a great scorecard. Let's try to keep these to scorecards we have for ourselves, or at least courses we've played, and limit the number of photos of scorecards we get off the Internet. Rules are simple: Post a photo of the scorecard. Talk about what makes it great, in your opinion. Assign the scorecard a number grade - 1 to 10 - where 5 is truly average. You may use a single dec
  2. As with the book cover for LSW, Dave and I have put the trademarked term (yes, we trademarked it) "Golf is hard" up for design at 99designs.com. https://99designs.com/t-shirt-design/contests/create-t-shirt-design-fun-unique-shirts-catchy-557914/ Interested designers can submit designs, we'll rate and offer feedback, and just under four short days from now we'll narrow the field down to about four to six designers, and three days after that, we'll have our design! Dave and I plan to sell some fun t-shirts and other apparel with "Golf is hard" and other versions (an accountant might buy a shirt
  3. With the six-foot-putt challenge, we also have the "opposite swing" challenge (kinda), and the flop shot catch challenge. So I'm thinking maybe we should have a separate awards category for "Challenges." I'd like to create a standard background for the award (a circle or square, probably) on which we could put an image showing the specific challenge. The standard background would make it obvious that it's a challenge, with the unique part highlighting what specific challenge it is. Any ideas?
  4. Long story short… http://www.girlygolfer.com makes custom putter headcovers, and I'm writing a review of the process and product. I've designed one headcover for @NatalieB but would like to design a second. Between 5SK, LSW, Evolvr, Golf Evolution, TST, Analyzr… and one or two other things that I'm probably forgetting (I volunteer for WPGA and am associated now with the USGA, perhaps…), I can't figure out how to design the second headcover. So I'm going to have a contest. The process is simple. Download the template: http://www.girlygolfer.com/pdf/DCC-BladePutter-Tem
  5. For the Architects / course designers out there a question: if you knew nothing about the current size of the golf hole , what size of hole would you create to have a balance of difficulty, speed of play and fun ?
