Hi all, After reading the impact zone I have been trying to increase my lag. This message I got from reading the book was that at the start of the downsing the wrists are loose which leads to an increase in the wrist angle and hence lag. At first this worked out well for me and I was hitting my driver a good 20-30 yards further, however now I have developed a large block slice (ball start right and turns right) or the ball starts straight and turns right. After looking at a video of myself I am pretty sure it is due to overactive hips, at impact my hips are practically facing the target. However, I can not generate the feeling of getting lag without my lower body turning fast and keeping my wrists loose. Has anyone else had this problem ? Am I misunderstanding the message of the book ?
