I am a forward facing putter and have installed the flat part of the putter grip about 45d counterclockwise from the face of the putter head. This allows me to place the flat against my left hand palm and arm, ala Matt Kucher style. I'm not clear about the legality of an "off axis" grip installation. Is that legal? Bill
Would this be a conforming grip? Or any suggestions on a thin putter grip. I have a pistol style golf pride grip on my putter. Would shaving the backside along the top of the grip down be considered conforming or is that "molding" it any ideas, as I have small hands and I'm looking for a grip I can get my hands to fully wrap around
So… I've finally got my hands on some of the new Edel round putter grips made by PURE. I loved the originals (made by Tacki-Mac) but they would get hard and dry out a little bit if you weren't using them too often (I think the oils in your hands helped keep them soft and moisturized). Anyway… The new grips are a little bit thicker. Many people might not even notice, but I've always been quite sensitive to these sorts of things (or swing weight, etc.) You can see how much thicker in the pictures, and the last one is versus a grip still in the plastic wrapper.
