I just read one of Sasho Mackenzie's articles regarding the swing plane. The article is rigorous science and very detailed, but one of the main points is that the research demonstrates that it is beneficial if the club head drops "below the plane" early in the downswing. In his method of modeling and simulating golf, this move is associated with greater club head speed and makes it easier to square the face. I am interested in knowing instructors' reactions to this. Does this research change anything you think about the golf swing? Thanks.
