  1. The TRUE Linkswear OGX, available here (https://truelinkswear.com/true-original-10yr/), is a Limited Edition shoe (I got #16), that celebrates the 10th anniversary of TRUE Linkswear by paying homage to their original TRUE Tour (reviewed here). In the video above, I talk a bit about the original Tour model, the "Originals" that came out a year or two ago, and the OG Premium, and then unbox and talk about the OGX. If you want to skip right to the unboxing of the new OGX, go to 5:26. TRUE Men's OG10YR | TRUE linkswear The OG10YR celebrates past with the iconic reverse saddle color, present with a modern silhouette, and future with sustainable vegan leather and insane waterproofing and comfort. We previously (briefly) discussed this shoe here: I'll add some photos here in a bit.
  2. Let's see: 10th anniversary. Special Limited Edition "something" Showing an OG Premium (the "original") What could it be? Oh, and to answer the question about my favorite models? I have two in particular that I adored: The original Tour. The Sensei. So… 1. What were some of your favorites? 2. What do you think will be announced on Thursday?
  3. The Skinny I'm excited to share a little bit of an insider peek here at the next shoe from TRUE Linkswear: the TL-01. Though I wear a lot of my TRUE shoes everywhere - to the movies, to dinner, to a bike trail, etc. - the TL-01 is specifically designed to go everywhere from the job to the tee box. I'm really looking forward to giving these a try, specifically as a teaching shoe - the zero drop shoe (a nice return from the admittedly pretty-low-but-not-quite-zero Major, Original, and Knit) will be comfortable and stylish, and yet if I have a free block and want to play some golf or hit some shots, will be perfect. Or if I have to meet my wife at dinner. Some photos of the shoes first… The Details Sizing: 8, 8.5-11.5, 12, 13 Colorways: Classic Black, Vintage White (both July 1), Grey Area (late July) Overview: The insanely light TL-01 is a shoe created to seamlessly transition from the office to the links and everywhere in between. The TL-01 is crafted from the finest full grain weatherproof Nappa leather and is durable enough for anything your life can throw at it. Don't be fooled, though, as the TL-01 weighs only 8.7 ounces, TRUE's lightest shoe yet. Packed in the TRUE canvas bag (the Majors come in these, too), this complete package makes the TL-01 a perfect shoe for just about any activity… especially golf! Basically: Lightweight - Weighing 8.7 ounces, you'll barely notice the TL-01 on your feet despite the full grain Nappa leather upper. Zero Drop Cushioned Outsole - Featuring a natural zero-drop outsole for stability and natural balance, with just enough cushion to keep your feet feeling great all day long. Versatile Tread - The TL-01 has ample grip to take on the links (the tread is the same depth as the Original and the Major), but works well on pavement, carpet, and everything in between, from the board room to the card room to the locker room. Traditional Width Fit - A bit of a narrower shoe than the other TRUE offerings, the TL-01 will form to your foot over time and accommodate up to an E width.
  4. Last June I came down with a great case of Plantar fasciitis in my left foot. I struggled to finish out the golf season, but had to sacrifice walking most my rounds. With 2 month till I start golfing again I am in need of a new pair of golf shoes. Unfortatly, this condition is not going 100% away. One wrong step and I am back to battling the pain. Therefore I have to be super conscience of my feet! I am looking for a decent pair, not overly expensive, not dirt cheap. I need a pair that I can walk a course. They either need to be geared toward those suffering from Plantar fasciitis, or I will need to utilize a Plantar fasciitis insole. If the latter is the case, can anyone recommend a good Plantar fasciitis insole? I have already bought 5 different pairs and only 1 is decent. Full insole, good support, but $40 a pair! Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated!
  5. http://truelinkswear.com/true-knit/ Really looking forward to trying these out. They may be a true successor to the Sensei.
  6. I have been trying to find a new pair of Oakley Golf Shoes and can't find the anywhere in stores or online.. did Oakley get out of the Golf Shoe Game...?
  7. http://news.nike.com/news/golf-traction-takes-a-new-course Neat looking shoes - can't see them pulling me away from TRUE, but the cleat pattern is very cool. I always liked the Flyknit material, but they never made a true "zero-drop" running shoe, so I never wore them much.
  8. As many of you already know, I've been a big proponent of True Linkswear shoes for awhile now, and while I'm still a fan, due to the lack of support I've had a little discomfort lately, specifically in the right toe area at the end of my swings. I decided I wanted to go back and try some more "traditional" shoes again. I've always been a fan of Ecco - I've had their golf shoes in the past and my casual work shoes I wear nearly every day are Eccos as well. So I decided to give these a try. I just got them today, so I have nothing to report as far as their on-course function, but I like the feel so far. Per my usual, there will be a breaking in period where I'll have to wear moleskin on my heels for a few rounds, but I am optimistic now. Here are a couple of photos of them new: Gotta get some white laces so I can wear them with something other than blue shirts. One at a time apparently, since they're big files.
  9. Up for sale is a like new pair of FootJoy Hyperflex golf shoes with boa lacing technology. Condition: 9 out of 10 (used for three rounds) see the photos for details. Reason for selling: I need a size 9.5 wide. These are the best golf shoes I have ever worne. I just love them. So once I sell I will be getting the exact same pair just in wide. Size: 9.5 M Color: Orange and Gray Cost: $80 includes shipping in the US. If you have questions just let me know.
