Adding to its stable of premium specialty sites such as Scotty Cameron .com, Fitting Works.com, and Titleist Tour Blog .com, Titleist last month added a website at vokey.com for wedge maker Bob Vokey, giving the wedge guru his rightful spot among those with their own domain name.
Offering a wealth of wedge information, background information on Bob Vokey, as well as limited release products through the Wedge Works, Vokey.com is a one-stop shop for those who play Vokey Design wedges, are looking into adding one to their bag, or who are just interested in what make Bob Vokey tick.

Design & Layout
The homepage serves as your jumping-off point to this “grand information portal.” The layout is nice and clean and very easy to cruise around. Temptation starts immediately as the first thing you see is a limited edition, limited release wedge that just screams “Buy Me Now!” Such limited release wedges will be released monthly.
The site features five main sections as well as two different web stores.
Wedges: This section contains all the information you could want on all of Bob’s wedges; both off-the-rack as well as the limited release models that will be made available only through Wedge Works. Let’s just say there are quite a few wedges to choose from.
On Tour: Bob gets to test out his wedges with perhaps the best R&D team out there: the PGA Tour players. This section is loaded with videos, pictures and other detailed information about the wedges that end up in the bags of Titleist staff players on the worldwide professional tours. In my opinion, the videos of the Titleist staff players discussing their wedges and their wedge games with Bob, and short game Tips from the Tour is one of the best part of the entire site. Who better to get tips from than those guys?
Tech Central: If you want to get the skinny on how Bob comes up with his designs, get an inside look at the production of his different wedges, or read information on research, development, and technology as it pertains to wedges, you will end up spending quite a bit of time in the Tech Central section. In addition, there is a glossary and FAQ areas so you can know what Sole Camber is as well find out why Bob uses cast tooling for his wedges.
News: News section that links to stories on the Titleist Tour Blog that pertains to Bob’s wedges.
About Vokey: Did you know that Bob Vokey was born in Canada or that he played one season in the Continental Football league in 1964? Besides those two tidbits, you can find more nuggets of information that you can share with your golfing buddies to show how knowledgeable you are of about Bob Vokey. Also listed are all the major championships that were won with Vokey Design wedges since 1999. A most impressive list, I must say.
Vokey Store: Here is where you can get outfitted with various Bob Vokey swag. Need a hat? Check. Shirts and jackets? Check. Towels to wipe off your Vokey Design wedges? Check. Father’s Day is fast approaching so this might be a good spot to find something for the father who thinks they already have everything. (I’m thinking a towel would look good on my golf bag.)
Wedge Works: The second online store offers the limited quantities of the limited release wedges inspired by Bob’s work on the worldwide professional tours. A new wedge will be unveiled each month and are available either online or through Titleist Partners through their account using an email/phone-in order process. If you pony up the cash for one of these sweet wedges, you have a multitude of customization options to chose from such as adding your name to your wedge, paint fill, grip, shaft, lie angle and loft.
Final Thoughts
Vokey.com offers a great deal of information on the Vokey Design wedges as well a good deal of history describing Bob Vokey’s path to wedge-making immortality. I also like the fact they are making the limited release wedge line small and very personalized rather than flooding the market with something off-the-rack that has nothing more than a special logo on it.
Overall, I enjoy what Vokey.com has to offer and am eagerly anticipating what limited release wedge comes next from the mind of Bob Vokey. Now I just need to drop a hint about the towel.
Cool website, prices aren’t very good, especially when you get the Japanese TVD wedges which look better to me at tourspecgolf.com for $225 versus $250 for these.
Hi Bob: From George Tsonos – Alouettes 59-60
Glad to hear a Verdun boy is doing so well in the field of golf.
