Volume Five

This week we talk about Natalie Gulbis, Johan Lindeberg, Golden Tee, Segways and Drugs.

If anyone is reading Hittin’ the Links, I’d love to know about it. There hasn’t been one comment since the inception of this column. I can’t tell if this space is everything you’ve ever wanted or if it’s the biggest piece of crap and it doesn’t even register on your radar. Even though you’re not talking, here’s a few more links to tickle your pickle.

This Is The True Story Of Natalie Gulbis
I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of Natalie Gulbis, but I am extremely intrigued by her new show, “Natalie”. Do you think there will be an “Director’s Cut” DVD to follow? If so, do they accept Visa? [link]

Johan, It’s Josh. Call Me.
Johan Lindeberg is brilliant. I think Lindeberg creates clothes that makes sense for a golfer. I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes a left-sleeveless shirt because most golfers are always tugging that sleeve up on their shoulder. Can someone schedule a meeting for me with Johan, please? Johan, have your people call my people, cause I’m dying to meet you. [link]

Yes, Please
I used to have a buddy who played 54 holes a day on one of these. I calculated it to like $40 with drinks (happy hour specials). I also had a buddy who broke his hand playing when he hit the ball and his hand propelled into the monitor. Really, what I’m trying to get at is I really love Golden Tee and is this a valid business expense for the Sand Trap? [link]

Go Go Gadget Golfcart
I love golf and I love gadgets, so this just might work for me. I’ve read about how the segway hasn’t really caught on yet, but I like this idea. Especially at some of those posh resort areas. [link]

Just Say No To Drugs
David Feherty puts his typical side spin on his column. He says drugs don’t help golfers play better. That might be true, but i think we might enjoy the game a little more? Also, what about alcohol? I would argue that, just like darts, I play better golf when I’ve had 3-6 beers in me. No more no less – that’s the perfect blend. [link]

Golf Fights Cancer
If you’re in the Boston area, you should try to play in this event or at least make a donation. [link]

America’s Greatest Courses
How many of these have you played? I’ve played numbers 41, 59 and 97 of the greatest courses. I’ve been to 4 others (6, 18, 65, 68)for tournaments or to walk around. [link]

Again, will someone please comment on my column. Say I suck, I don’t care, just participate!

  2. Josh, you know I enjoy Hittin’ The Links. I have told you that before. Like Jeff said, it’s something different here at The Sand Trap, and that is a good thing. Keep up the good work! 🙂
