Top of the morning to ya. It’s getting cold in my part of the world, so I haven’t really been doing too many golf-related activities. The free time has allowed me the ability to scour the Web for more golf links, but as always, if you have a link you think I might be interested in, let me know.
Now, on to this week’s links.
Hole 1: Beer Golf
I saw this on the forum. It’s another one of those games that you can waste your day away at the office. I got caught playing this the other day and actually in turn got my boss hooked as well. I love it. [link]
Hole2: Golf Real Estate Auction
For any of you wealthy people, here’s some golf-related real estate for you, in Dubai. [link]
Hole 3: Christmas Deals are Here
Golf Gods .com is running a promo where if you buy a Taylor Made r7 ($299), you can get two free airline tickets. That’s a sweet deal. Rafi, this has your name all over it. [link]
Hole 4: Long Balls
I hope these things fly about 50 yards further than normal, cause at $25 for a sleeve of three, I’d be hesitant to buy. Although I am interested because they have metal in them. [link]
Hole 5: Play Private Courses
Ben, in the forum, provided this little nugget. I recommend signing up for the email notification so you can see if there are any courses to play in your area. This is a great way to play places you might never get the chance to play. [link]
Hole 6: What About Me?
I was leafing through GolfPunk’s “Power 100” issue the other day and was really disappointed that I was left off the list. It must have slipped by the editors. Those things happen and I’m sure that Hittin’ the Links will get included next year! With that said, I still think you should pick up the issue. Lots of good stuff. [link]
Hole 7: Crush Magazine
When I was picking up my recent issue of GolfPunk magazine, I noticed a magazine with Paula Creamer on it, so I leafed through it and discovered that it is an LPGA sponsor magazine called Crush. It’s a pretty nice looking mag. The more I learn about the LPGA, the more I am impressed with the way that it’s doing things. [link]
Hole 8: Bad Boy Buggies
Now, what I want to know is if these guys can make me a golf buggy that’s totally bad ass? I’ve long wondered if the guys from Orange County Choppers would pimp me up a golf cart. I’d want something like a Bad Boy Buggy, but with some diamond plate and a stereo and maybe retractable roof and doors. Maybe they can ship me one to review!? [link]
Hole 9: Odd Balls
Here’s some golf balls that change colors in the sun. I have no idea why you’d want that, but if you do, they make them. [link]
