I had some great weather in the nation’s capital this weekend, so I decided to play some golf. Bad idea. I played horrible and ended up getting so angry about it. It pretty much ruined my weekend. I haven’t been this upset on the course since I played in high school.
Anyway, enough about me. On to the links.
Hole 1: Winter Rules
Just as winter is about to take away many of our golf seasons, I found this. I might pick it up to keep myself busy this winter. It looks like fun. [link]
Hole 2: House of Forged
No, it’s not a kung-fu movie. It’s a website dedicated to vintage forged irons. I found it on the forum and am finding myself constantly pulling up the site, trying not to pull out the credit card to buy a set. [link]
Hole 3: 878
This is another link found in our forums, and all I have to say is, wow. 878 yards? Let’s see that’s a Driver, 3-wood, 3-wood, wedge for me, assuming I hit them all well. And, yes, I just used a calculator to figure that. [link]
Hole 4: Sharpie Game
This isn’t really golf related, but it is fun. I guess you use sharpies to mark your golfballs, so maybe it’s golf related. Anywho, it will waste many hours of your day. Trust me, I know. [link]
Hole 5: Casey Martin Calls it Quits
When I was in college I wrote a paper about Casey Martin’s struggles with getting his Tour card. Quite frankly, I forgot he was even playing. I still think that the PGA Tour should have let him use a cart. [link]
Hole 6: Slighter Golf
Anyone want a christmas idea for me? How about the Bellevue? [link]
Hole 7: Celebrity Golf
Isn’t Jack Wagner usually a top finisher in those celebrity tournaments. Maybe the judges of this contest don’t consider General Hospital part of Hollywood? And, yes, I just looked that up on IMDB.com. I did not know he was on General Hospital. [link]
Hole 8: Kudos to Bart Bryant
I would have never guessed it, but it happened. In fact, the guy I picked to finish last, won the Tour Championship. Crazy. [link]
Hole 9: Podcast
Have you guys taken a listen to our podcast? Erik and Jeff have done a nice job with it. At some point, I’ll be getting on there and flapping my jaw about all things golf. Stay tuned. [link]
wonder if anybody tried that Xavix stuff? looks like a lot of fun. Golf I’could find the room, wonder how they did the tennis with the distances involved in a “real” game… Price is not that crazy either. I might have to forward this link to my St. Claus on duty 🙂
