Volume Twenty-One

This week’s links are sure to put a smile on your face! Enjoy.

Hittin' the LinksSo the PGA Championship starts on Thursday, and I couldn’t be more excited. I like this major because there is always a no-namer that can contend and even win (see: Rich Beem, Shaun Micheel). This year, my pick is Tiger because I think he’s the hottest player in golf. My long-shot pick is Ian Poulter. I like his game and he’s played well in the majors and on U.S. turf.

Leave your picks in the comments. Now, on to the links.

Hole 1: Mini-putt Game
Here’s a fun little game to waste some time at work this week. [link]

Hole 2: Battlefield Promotion
I’m a fan of Jason Gore, so I was happy to see this. I’ve been wondering though. Does he have the option to stay on the Nationwide Tour? I mean, he’s been able to clean house there and is winning a few hundred thousand dollars. That’s a good living and one that might be easier to do on the Nationwide Tour versus the PGA Tour. [link]

Hole 3: Pressel Prevails
Morgan Pressel is going to be awesome! She smoked everyone at the U.S. Women’s Am. The LPGA is going to be fun to watch soon. I think Paula Creamer and Pressel will be the two top dogs. [link]

Hole 4: Coming or Going?
MJ on Golf really is like the former MJ. He can never say he’s done. MJ, if you need an outlet for your golf related musings, try our forum. That way you don’t need to keep a site updated. [link]

Hole 5: Hittin’ the Links, Meet Hitting the Links
I got a trackback for the review of the ClimaCool shirt I reviewed by a site called Hitting the Links, which I found ironic. Anywho. It’s a good read, and I’ve enjoyed the content they’re putting out there. [link]

Hole 6: Inside Golf Travel
I’ve enjoyed reading Gordon’s blog about golf traveling. Add it to your blogroll. Maybe in exchange for this link Gordon will hook me up with a free trip?! [link]

Hole 7: The Reluctant Jam Boy
TRJB has been pumping out some wickedly funny content. If you can handle the length of his posts, they are awesome. I recommend printing them out (along with ESPN’s the Sports Guy) and retiring to the lavatory. [link]

Hole 8: Betting Guide to the PGA
This is rich. Based on these odds, I’ll take Kenny Perry. But if we’re picking winners. I think it will be Tiger.[link]

Hole 9: 59
Yes, I know we already talked about him, but a 59 warrants a link all to itself. I think Gore might be the second hottest player in golf right now. Only bested by Tiger and closely followed by Morgan Pressel. [link]
