Volume Eighty-One

What do Vijay Singh, Michelle Wie, Nick Faldo, The Golf Channel and the Golf Digest Hot List have in common?

The last of the fruitcake is ready to be re-gifted for next Christmas and I have already broken all of the resolutions I made for the new year. Big deal you say. Give us some links we can check out at work.

This week we have a recap of not only the Sony Open but also a bonus recap of the Mercedes-Benz Championship, a Hot List, 2007 predictions, and a teen golfer in Hawaii.

Adam Scott may have won the Tour Championship, but does that give him the right to be considered the next best contender to battle Tiger Woods on tour?

The final putt by Adam Scott at the Tour Championship signaled the end of the 2006 PGA Tour season. While the season might be over for the pros, that doesn’t me Hittin’ the Links will be going into hibernation!

This week we have a recap of the Tour Championship, and an absurd article about Adam Scott being the next player to battle Tiger Woods for the top spot in the World Rankings.

Volume Seventy-Nine

It’s only October 30th and I am already praying for the beginning of January to get here so we can see some real golf again.

Well the final 125 on the PGA Tour money list are in, and sadly, there weren’t any heartbreakers this year to speak of from the final regular-season event. I hate to say it, but after the Tour Championship, the entire golf world will be going into hibernation.

This week we take a final look at the Funai Classic and a very unlucky guy on the Champions Tour nicknamed “Boss the Moss.”

Volume Seventy-Eight

Who’s hot and Who’s not? That might be the best question heading into the final week of the PGA Tour’s regular season.

There isn’t a sadder day on the PGA Tour than the last Thursday of the regular season. Next week marks the final PGA event that counts towards the top 125 on the money list.

Hittin’ the Links checks the newly updated 125 on the money list this week, among other things.

Volume Seventy-Seven

What’s the best cure for a 76-tournament winless streak? Playing a course you designed and using the knowledge to your advantage!

The season is coming to a close with only three full-field events remaining before the PGA Tour world goes into hibernation, but that doesn’t stop Hittin’ the Links from pressing on!

Enjoy the weekly links!

Volume Seventy-Six

I wish real life had TiVo so I could fast forward to Friday and get the Ryder Cup underway!

We’re only days away from the Ryder Cup and I swear every passing minute is that much longer than the last!

To tide you over until the Friday start, we have some great links that look back on the Ryder Cup past, a wide assortment of analysis and course diagrams for the upcoming matches, as well as another PGA Tour veteran getting his second win this season.

Enjoy the links!

Volume Seventy-Five

Who would’ve ever thought that Annika Sorenstam and a two-shot lead with eight holes to play on Sunday would equal a loss? Not me, that’s for sure.

Annika Sorenstam is human, Jim Furyk finally puts that consistency to use by winning a golf tournament, an LPGA pioneer passes away at the age of 88, and Michelle Wie opens her big mouth once again.

The golf world is never short of dramatic stories on a weekly basis!

Volume Seventy-Four

Make up your mind Tiger. Do you want to win in a playoff, or do you want to win while coming back from a three-shot deficit?

Tiger Woods wins another golf tournament, Thomas Bjorn lashes out at European Ryder Cup captain Ian Woosnam for not picking him, and Annika Sorenstam fires a final-round 62 to capture another LPGA event.

I swear professional golf never gets old or boring!

Volume Seventy-Three

Tiger leads us to Jack, which leads us to Valhalla and the U.S. Amateur. Plus Deutsche Bank, Two Holes-in-One, and those pesky Europeans.

Another week, another Tiger Woods win. I feel like the guy in the movie Groundhog Day. I wake to see Tiger Woods in the lead, and then I sit in front of the television on Sunday and watch him win.

When will the madness ever end?
