What are the potential problems with installing a pulled Rifle 5.0 9i shaft into a PW (.355 taper tip)? What about tip trimming a quarter inch, or a half inch, will the shaft still work/fit the hosel? I know these shafts are not to be tip trimmed, but I don't know why; will it not fit, or just not be the correct stiffness, etc. I am going to put a new, longer, shaft into my 9i, but don't want to waste the pulled shaft.
