Thanks for the response everyone. I am not sure if I should go with Graphite Shaft or Steel Shaft. I am leaning more towards Graphite but not sure if I should go with Regular Flex or Steel Flex. I don't know what my swing speed is; I have not measured it in a golf shop. I know you can measure it approximately by the distance you hit on the driver. The problem though is consistency; since I am relatively new to golf, I don't have consistency and I am not able to hit 8 or 10 shots with the driver in the same distance range to calculate average. Some of my shots go 225 yards, some I slice and some don't get the right contact. Not sure how to judge my speed and get the right shaft. Thanks again!

Hello All, I am new to this forum and relatively new to golf as well. I have been playing regularly for the last 6 months. I have been using Dunlop golf clubs that I purchased a few years back from a local sporting goods store (Big 5 Sporting Goods). I had no issues with the club; I really did not have any comparison to other clubs. While playing today, I broke my 5 iron and my PW and 7 looks pretty used as well. I have been thinking about buying a used iron set for a while now and I think with my 5 iron broken, now is a great time. I don't know too much about clubs so wanted to check with you to see what your recommendation will be. I am planning to buy used and my budget is around $250. I am looking for 3-PW (and if possible SW & LW). I was looking at different sites and there are lot of options so not sure which will be right for me. -Should I go with steel shaft or graphite shaft? I know it is based on the individual so I might have to try both and see what works. -I have heard that Callaway, Taylormade, Ping, Cleveland all make great clubs. How about Callaway x-18? I saw a couple of used that fits my budget. Are there others that fit my budget that you recommend? Any ideas/recommendations is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
