I don't know much about Driver construction, but the clear coat seems like a strange idea. After one session at the range I get 3-4 noticeable cracks, imagine what it would look like after 6 months! Callaway is looking at it now.

A better photo to show everyone what I'm talking about. I heard back from a Callaway rep who confirms this is a defect and should not happen. Will follow up now with CS.

Purchased secondhand but unused Razr X driver. After one session on the range I noticed these minute hairline cracks. I took the club into the pro shop and was told it was only cracks on the "finish" of the driver head. The finish will eventually wear off - I'm not sure if this is at all true. My well used Cobra S9 driver (also in black) has a ton of pitt marks etc from use, but nothing resembling the cracks on the Razr X. Does anyone have any insight/experience with this? Many thanks.
