  1. Hey Jeff, Awesome! Thanks for your suggestions; I appreciate it. I haven't heard of Bluebonnet Hill, so thanks for the recommendation. Played Riverside a few times over the years. And I agree that the layout is a little strange, but I definitely enjoyed playing out there. Don't know if you remember that par 3 that runs right next to the road, but my buddy definitely hooked it over the fence and nearly hit a bus! Where are your favorite places to play in the D/FW area? Trophy Club is pretty much my "home course," as I've played it more than any other courses in that area. I also played Grapevine a lot and enjoyed Bear Creek and Sky Creek as well. I try to make it up there every few months to visit family and friends (my dad's big into golf), so I'll let you know when I do. Always looking for people to play with! Corey p.s. - Played Morris Williams yesterday. Other than slow pace of play, it was pretty nice. They did a big remodel of the clubhouse and made a lot of improvements to the course.
  2. Hey Dylan, Nice. I checked out Onion Creek's website and it's definitely on my short list of places to play soon. Hope you can make it out to Austin and play a few courses this way before it gets too dry. So far so good, but I'm sure that'll change in a few weeks. Feel free to get in touch if you're ever playing in the area. Always looking for people to play with.
  3. Hey Dylan, good to hear from you! My fiancee is actually finishing up at Texas State, though she takes most of her courses at the Austin campus. What are your favorite courses to play in the Austin area? I've played several of the Austin muni courses and found them pretty good. So far I've played Lions (sad to see that one go), Morris Williams, Penick, Roy Kizer, and Jimmy Clay. I think Jimmy Clay's is my favorite of those.
  4. What's going on fellas? I was looking for somewhere to talk shop with some likeminded golfers and stumbled across this forum. There don't seem to be a lot of options out there, but I saw a lot of activity here and browsed through some great threads. Looking forward to get to know you guys! My name's Corey. I'm originally from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, but I've been in Austin for the past 5 years. I started playing golf about 12 or 13 years ago. Couldn't tell you what my handicap is right now, but I typically shoot in the low 80s. Had maybe 2 or 3 lessons over the years, but the vast majority of my game was taught to me by my dad. He's a great players (probably 3-4 handicap), so I've been blessed to have his guidance. Anyways, I've been playing off and on the past couple years (work and school keep finding a way to get in the way!) But I actually just helped a buddy of mine get into the game and really enjoyed it, so I'm pumped to get a regular practice/playing schedule going again. Just in time for that Texas summer! Just wanted to introduce myself, and looking forward to connecting with you guys. Corey
