Hi all. I've recently been rebuilding my swing from scratch using video lessons on Youtube. And after some initial progress, including last week when I was hitting good clean strikes with good distance about half the time, I've suddenly fallen to pieces and I'm not sure why...
I feel like I'm getting to grips with some of the fundamentals fairly well, but my last 2 range sessions consisted of me hitting about 90% of my shots along the ground like in the video. A fair number sliced like crazy too... (and I don't usually slice very often, I pull!)
Any ideas what the main culprit could be? My thoughts are as follows:
1. weight transferance: I don't look like I'm transferring my weight forward enough, and I'm perhaps leaning back slightly at impact?
2. grip: I just noticed for the first time today that I have a very strong grip, but I don't think I've changed that since I'm great session last week...
3. distance from ball: I usually try to keep the hand-width from the belly rule, but it looks like it's creeping a bit close. I guess that could explain why I divot to the right of the ball in shot 2 and nearly hit the shank...?
(just to clarify, I'm aiming between the 100-yard marker and the red flag)
Any advice would be hugely appreciated!
Thanks
