  1. Been busy with work so I haven't been able to work on it. But, as said above as long as I'm not rotating my forearms the right wrist unhinging shouldn't be that hard of a thing to add as it not controlling the club face. Maybe just when I want to hit a draw or maybe more permanent if I like it. I've been hitting some pitch shots in the backyard and like it, but that a whole nother story from a full swing. It just makes more sense then what I'm doing now with my left hand hinging the club during the backswing.
  2. My instructor had me doing the same thing, because I was right hand heavy before, but because of rotating my left wrist during the backswing. Has definitely added consistency with minimum power loss, but I can't hit a draw now to save my life. I think I will work on trying to just use the right wrist as a hinging/unhinge only, as right now I'm doing it all with my left. I think I can add some more power from the feel of it. Seems like I'll be able to control the club face alot more if I can control the movement.
  3. I'm right-handed so reverse for lefties. To this point my swing mostly happens with just my left arm/hand. From take takeaway to wrist cock to the down swing and then through impact. My right side just seems to be along for the ride. Now, just recently I read Hank Haney's article in the July Golf Digest and he explains something totaly different, with the right hand producing the wrist cock and release through impact like swing a hammer and the left arm pulling up and the right pushing down through impact. Seems much more powerful, but seems like timing may be an issue. What do you guys/gals feel or do with your right arm during the swing. Thanks.
  4. Follow-up----No problems w/ the shaft went to the range today and added about 20yrds with a much nicer/ lower more penetrating flight then I had with my old driver. (Bang with UST Harmon tour design shaft). MOre consistant as well.
  5. I just bought a FT-9 with a Banzai Shaft. I been doing a little LATE research and it seems to only be a wood/hybrid shaft. It is safe to use in a Driver? Thanks
  6. I wore golf shoes for years, but I have a weird bone structure on my heel that would blister EVERY SINGLE TIME. I got tired of it and went to just plain old running shoes I had. The result, no blisters, no negitive impact of golf game at all, and more comfort. Onrainy days or early dew, I would say that gof shoes would help though. I'm not wasting the money though.
  7. I too suffer slightly with the occasional heavy shot. What I found works for me is this. Kind of like a boxer's goal is to punch through their target (ie Back of the head not front of face). I use the front of the ball as my impact target and think about making contact there. Has improved my contact consierably on all shots.
  8. I do the exact same thing as PiKapp. Except we are backwards, I tend to fade Driver and draw irons.... but anyway I used to pick out something in front of me but I ran into the same problem as you ,that sometimes there is nothing in front to aim at and it tended to screw me up pretty bad having to rely on that.
