From Omaha. Ok to get on a plane or drive but like the idea of taking clubs. Erin Hills is about an hour from Milwaukee it looks. I haven't looked at other tour options. I want it to be a big enough event to get the big names there.

Hi, First post here. I'd like to get my dad a birthday surprise and take him to a tour event this year or next. I was targeting the 2017 US Open but the course looks kind of blah so looked at the 2016 US Open. I figured I'd put it out there to get others' opinions on what you would do in this situation. I'm open to going about anywhere in the continental US. The masters may be an option for 2017, maybe not. Looks kind of pricey. I appreciate everyone's input. Thanks, TD
