I've been Playing Golf for: Three weeks? My current handicap index or average score is: Unsure My typical ball flight is: 130 yards The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Slicing to the right
Hey guys,
So last weekend I played nine holes which was the first time I swung a club in about four years. I was pretty horrible as expected, but made a few nice shots and had a really great time. I am very determined to better myself and start playing regularly but feel like I need to really work on my swing before playing another round.
Can you guys please offer me some tips with my swing? The video quality and angle is poor but it was the best I could do on my own. I feel my biggest problem is my back position and how far I'm standing from the ball. Should I be closer? Also, I've been told (last week) my down swing is pretty slow, but I am intentionally swinging slower than I'm capable of in order to just make solid contact. I noticed also that quite a few of my shots were slicing right. Is there anything visible in these videos that may point me in the direction of correcting that? I recently changed my grip from a broken 10 finger to interlock and that alone has made a huge difference. I also have been choking up on my driver a little bit which has helped tremendously with keeping the ball straight.
