  1. Ya, I hope you’re right. I wasn’t aware that it was that common. My prior clubs never had ferrules come loose. Appreciate your insight.
  2. That was the response from Edel. Maybe it’s just cosmetic, but like I said in my original post. It all started with the ferrule coming loose and then the 7 iron head spun off. Hopefully my other irons don’t have anymore issues. Although, I think our experiences are a little different. Your one club having a one-time loose ferrule isn’t the same as my 4 irons having loose ferrules and me having to send the irons back 3 times for quality issues. I still like my Edel putter and haven’t had a single issue there. But the irons have made me question my purchase.
  3. Good to hear, I needed to see what the community thought about it. I'll keep everyone posted if it happens again. Unfortunately the 2018 season is done for me.
  4. I'm only concerned about it because of them spinning off during my first experience. You're probly right in that they won't actually spin off again, it's just annoying.
  5. I decided to purchase Edel irons and an edel putter over two years ago. I was looking to upgrade my current set and did a lot of research to see what irons and what putter might be right for me. I settled on checking out Edel. I went to meet the sales/pro fitter and had a great experience getting tuned in to the perfect irons and putter for me. We used a trackman to gather data around the ball flight with each new head and shaft. It really was a cool experience. Unfortunately, that’s where the enjoyment ends. I received my irons and after using them three times, had the head spin off my 7 iron shaft. This shouldn’t happen to a set of clubs at this price point. (see picture below). So I contacted my fitter and he was shocked to hear of this and hadn’t heard of it ever happening in his time with Edel. He had me ship the iron back to headquarters and assured me the rest of my irons would be fine and this was an anomaly. He even added a gap wedge for the inconvenience. Three weeks come and go, I receive the newly fixed 7 iron and I use my irons another 2-3 times. Same thing happens to the 7 iron that was just shipped back to me and now to the 8 and 6 iron. So now the old irons and the one Edel just worked on are all having problems. So I ship them back and they claim to have fixed them and that it was the fault of the shaft company for not finishing the shafts appropriately. All in all, I was without my irons for a good 6-7 weeks between getting each of them worked on at some point. I should state, I was happy with the customer service team, since they did work with me to get the issue resolved and get my irons back to me as quickly as possible. Also, the service team was usually quick to respond via email. In 2018, I’ve exhausted my patience. I went out golfing early in the year and had 3 of my irons hosels come loose and rattle in my backswing. Also, with my past experience, I’m now concerned that the heads will spin off at some point. I emailed the customer service team and this time they told me it is just a cosmetic issue and it will not impact my clubs performance. “I can push them down and that should be all I need to do”……I have to push them back after almost every swing. If you’re considering purchasing Edel irons, you may want to reconsider. The putter has been fine for me, but my irons have had shotty quality since the day I received them and I’ve been very disappointed. I’ve been trying to contact the original fitter/sales rep about the latest issue and he’s now ghosted me.
