  1. I picked up the RBZ 17 degree fairway wood yesterday, and played a round today. I went 17 degree because I'm a high handicapper, and have problems with ball flight. Fair to say, this club is very long, but I think I'm hitting it too high. I'm wondering now if I should've got the 15? Will I sacrifice distance if I take it back? I had no problems with flight today.
  2. I couldn't get a video on here, so here goes a few snapshots. Tell me what you think? I'm a handicapper, so I can use all the advice I can get.
  3. Ok, everyone don't hate me, but I went to golfsmith after work last night and putted around for an hour. I tried the Scotty, Nike Method's, Anser, and a host of other putters, and I went with a club that wasn't even on my list because I didnt necessarily like the look of the putter. Let me tell you, this putter felt great! in my opinion, and I'm sure many will disagree, but the TaylorMade Ghost Tour Putter felt way better than anyother putter I tried. I know I may be a homer when it comes to TM, but I sware to you, I had no plan on getting a TM putter, and only picked it up as an after thought because I couldnt decide which to get. So, I got the ghost for $170, and will keep the rest on the card until I can put a little with it and pick up something else. I can pick up my wedges anytime I want basically, so I will do that at a later date.
  4. I don't see a 001. I see Nike Method, Nike Method Core, & Nike Method Core Drone Mallet.
  5. Gotta thank the wifey and the kids for that. The funny thing is, my wife is the one that always buys me stuff (Driver, shoes, etc...) Yet, she's the one that gets an attitude everytime I go play. Go figure..
  6. And I like TM, not because of the name, I like them for the quality of the club. I've tried several irons, and those super launch iron, have really improved the consistency of the ball flight. As for my R11 rescue, that has been a god send because I am not consistent with my long irons. I am a homer, but they have earned it. I am not against any brand if can improve my game.
  7. Southern California......still playing every weekend and off day.
  8. You all have given me a lot to think about. I don't use the 3 wood because I couldn't it when I first started playing 2 years ago, and haven't bothered with it since. Although, my playing partners tell me they can't imagine life without theirs, so I may be missing out. I'm a consistent 2 putter with my old wilson, but I really like those mallet putters i've used at golfsmiths. I really would like to get those wedges, but that wouldn't leave me with much after that, and I can seriously buy those on my own. I'm thinking about the hybrid because I can hit those far better than my 4 or 5 iron. Although I can be surgical with my 4 iron on a punch out...lol. The RBZ line interests me because of all the good reviews I have read, and I'm a "sucker" for all new lines, and yes I am a Taylor Made fan. I waited in line for the very first iphone on day one.
  9. I was really thinking about that too. What is the avg. distance you can expect for a 3 wood?
  10. Sorry for the original post. It grouped everything together after hitting submit. I do know how to use punctuation.
  11. Here's my set: Taylor Made Super Launch Irons 4-PW Callaway Jaw 60 lob wedge Macgregor 52 & 56 wedges Taylor Made R11 rescue 3 hybrid Taylor Made R11 Driver Very old cheap starter set Wilson Putter I am very happy with my irons, so I'm not looking for any changes there. I love my lob wedge, but not too happy with my 52 & 56. I hit my 3 hybrid around 225-230, and would love a 5 hybrid. I have a need for a putter, 52, 56, & 5 hybrid. I've thought about a fairway wood, but find them hard to hit, but love using the rescues. I would like to get the Scotty Cameron Kombi putter, 52 & 56 callaway jaw wedges, or another R11 hybrid. I have a $300 golfsmith gift card. What would you do if you were me? I'm leaning for the Kombi because for #1 I don't think I would spend $300 for a putter, and since this was a gift--why not? But then I think I could get a cheaper putter and my hybrid, or I could keep my putter, and get my hybrid and a wood, or my wedges. I'm like a kid in a candy store with this gift card. Help me out??
  12. The Taylor Made Burner Superlaunch irons interest me.
  13. Yeah, I've taken lessons. Maybe it's time for some more. What is DTL?
  14. I've only been playing for about 4 months now, and will shoot anywhere from a 45 and 50 on average on my 9 hole home course. I've played on a few other courses unsuccessfully, so I said that I won't play again until I can consistently shoot in the high 30's/low 40's (par 31) on this course (it is known as a good course for beginners, but easy for experienced players). Yesterday I played terrible, I played about as bad as the first time I ever played, and some shots where worse than ever before. I had guys that i joined up with that were playing worse than I normally play giving me advice. It was embarrassing. I wish I had a swing coach because I didn't know what I was doing wrong. The only thing was I didn't go to the range first which is what I normally do, but I've done that before, and still have never played that bad. I managed only 1 par in 18 holes (I played twice). I hope it's not in my head now. We'll see how I do on labor day? I almost dont want to go.
