The Race to Dubai ends in Turkey, why you shouldn’t buy a golf course with Justin Timberlake, and more.

Hittin' the LinksAnother tour is about to wrap up its season, and everyone else seems to be in Mexico suddenly. That’s probably not a bad idea with the cold wave that hit the U.S. this week. There’s more strange news involving the PGA TOUR’s self-imposed exile Dustin Johnson. Ian Poulter’s putter failed him big time. And there’s a golf cart that will let you break 100 mph, if you need to do that.

But the big news this week is that the man who was instrumental in desegregating professional golf in the U.S. got some well deserved recognition for his courage and contributions to the game. Let’s hit the links.

Hole #1: Poulter misses putt, Koepka wins
American Brooks Koepka won the Turkish Airlines Open in Belek, Turkey, when Ian Poulter missed a seven-foot putt on the final hole that would have sent the event to a playoff. It was Koepka’s first win. The Euro Tour heads to Dubai next week for the season-ending tourney, though Rory McIlroy has already secured the Race to Dubai title despite not playing for weeks. [Link]

Hole #2: Charlie Sifford receives Presidential Medal of Freedom

Hole #3: Remember Christina Kim?
Christina Kim got a very popular win at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational this weekend, and it was about time. It was her first win on the LPGA tour in nine years. [Link]

Hole #4: Hoffman wins in Mexico
Charley Hoffman got his third PGA TOUR win at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba on Sunday. By the way, he went to college at UNLV. [Link]

Hole #5: Taylor Swift goes all Elin in video

Hole #6: Dustin Johnson sues former adviser over loan
Possible racketeering, wire fraud and negligence… not exactly the kind of news you expect to be swirling around a PGA TOUR pro. Then again, it’s been a weird year for Dustin Johnson. Now he is suing a former adviser for repayment of a $3 million loan. [Link]

Hole #7: Probably has a bunch more in his trunk

Hole #8: Here’s how to fix slow play

Hole #9: Timberlake sells his golf course
Justin Timberlake and his family apparently lost over $15 million when they sold Mirimichi Golf Course last week for $500,0000. Timberlake had make the course an eco-friendly showcase, but apparently that wasn’t enough to make it a success. At least he still has his other career to fall back on. [Link]
