  2. Yea, I'm looking at the G10 XG's...
  3. So I'm looking to buy a set of Ping G10 irons, and today I went to range to compare the ZZ-65 shaft and the AWT. The end result? I liked the AWT better, although the ZZ65 shaft was on a set of i15s. I felt like they were just too light, and I couldn't get a feel for the weight. I actually ballooned the ball with the ZZ65 to my surprise, thinking they would have a lower trajectory for me compared to the AWT shaft. The AWT shaft I tried with the G15s, and I liked them a lot. The trajectory was nice and high, but not too high. Currently I'm playing a set of Snake Eye Viper irons with standard True Temper "Steel" irons (regular builder shafts). To my surprise, I found the specs to this shaft to have a high kick point promoting a lower trajectory. I hit the irons great, nice trajectory, even a little high maybe, although they are regular flex. I should be using a stiff flex according to my fitting. I like the lighter shaft of the AWT, but I was also looking into the Dynamic Gold SL shafts as well. Any thoughts or suggestions??? I'm a little hesitant going with the AWT because I think it has a lower kick point, promoting a higher ball flight. I'm happy with my ball flight now, and I have no trouble getting my 3 iron up in the air also. Thx!!!
  4. So I’m going to pull the trigger soon on a new set of G10 irons, and I want to get a hybrid along with a new sand wedge, and possibly a lob wedge. I went on Pings website first to take a look at the specs on the G10’s to verify the lofts (See the specs below) and I guess I got confused on what degree hybrid I should look to get. The G10 3 iron has a loft of 21 degrees, but most 3 hybrids sold are at 18 degrees, so should I look to get a hybrid at 21 or 20 degrees??? Same question really for the sand wedge, can I get away with one sand wedge at 56 degrees, or is it better to get 54 and 58-degree wedges. I’m trying to be cost efficient, and not go crazy, but I would also like these clubs to last me a while. I guess I’m not really sure if it’s really worth having both wedges, sand and lob. I’m a 25 handicap, but looking really to improve a lot this year. 2 39.25" 18.5° 58.50° .34" -3.0° D0 3 38.75" 21.0° 59.25° .32" -2.0° D0 4 38.25" 24.0° 60.00° .30" 0.0° D0 5 37.75" 27.0° 60.75° .28" 2.0° D0 6 37.25" 30.5° 61.50° .26" 4.0° D0 7 36.75" 34.0° 62.25° .24" 6.0° D0 8 36.25" 38.0° 63.00° .22" 8.0° D0 9 35.75" 42.0° 63.75° .20" 9.0° D0 PW 35.50" 46.0° 64.00° .18" 10.0° D2 UW 35.50" 50.0° 64.00° .15" 11.0° D2 SW 35.25" 54.0° 64.25° .13" 12.0° D4 LW 35.00" 58.0° 64.50° .10" 12.0° D6
