  1. Hmmm....I am pretty sure it was well over dbl bogey golf.....say like triple....definetly over 110 or so...>But I did score a nice little 12 on a pr 5 the other day....First shot...OB....second fine....third...Water...drop...sand trap....Next out of the sand...OB....Then on the green and two putt....But I think now that I three putted the hole...But damn....who cares after that...LOL
  2. Sort of.....That might be it.....But I keep the left thumb down....But maybe that IS baseball grip....
  3. anyone? Played nine holes today and the same thing....I brought my hands back UP a little bit the drives were going straighter, but still hooked a little.....
  4. ok....played 36 holes yesterday and damn.....little tired....LOL....But the question at hand....I was watching a little Jim McLean and tried out his split grip technique on the range....I guess this is a normal grip, but my right hand is a little further down and NOTover top my left....So I hit 10 balls MY old way and then hit 10 balls this way and the first 10 sliced the same as I always do....and about 225. The next 10 DRAWED..or DREW...or they went straight as an arrow and about 250-275 or more....Now I know with a slice I am loosing yardage cause of the spin and roll that I get is to the right.....What does this tell me about my swing or hands for that matter...Am I not getting then through quick enough? etc..etc..Thanx for your tips... Eric
  5. Wow...Thanx for the tips... Well...One....I started aiming left..Well...cause I was hitting RIGHT.....I had no idea that would make it worse....I did notice when a friend pointed out that my LOWER half was lined up fine, but my shoulders were a little off. I played 18 today and shot a 94....But that was with three or four triples. I manage to birdie the hardest hole, cause of a really good drive and did adjust my grip on the range before hand...It just feels weird gripping it a different way after the wrng way for the whole year...LOL Thanx, and I will read up on some mechanics
  6. Well....It starts out straight and then turns...So I mostly AIM left. Are there any drills I can do at home? What about that little apparatus that they sell....It has a little foam piece if you hit when you have the wrong swing path
  7. The title speaks for itself. I slice the drive horribly. Any tips? Eric
  8. Not even that....Sports....Well..We want it to be awesome...Who cares what they do or how they do it.....It's frankly the American way...and we love it....
  9. If you can;t hit a 100MPH fast ball without steroids....They aren't gonna help when you do.
  10. I guess I never thought bout it....but I had no idea that there were FAKE clubs....Sure...bootleg dvd's, and etc.....but fake clubs....I mean.....300 vs 900. It's hard to try and convince one to buy the real thing...unless were talking bout a legal issue. And frankly...I could you really tell. I mean me....15 handicapper hit a set of OLD Ti-100 tommy armours now. Then you have the Turbo Power series and hatever...that are the clones...These are not fake, but just equivalent. And they are a little cheaper than the fakes....Anyone ever bought a set of these so called fakes and did not know...Did they shatter on impact? Thanx
  11. Well....I started construction on my backyard teebox and range. Bought the plywood today, then took it back for some better flooring material. It will consist of a 8'x8' platform, which is two sheets of 4*8 decking. Bordered by 2*8 salt treated joists. etc..etc.. I will post some pics and my layout later...But....I want to know the best mat I can buy....I was looking at these... http://sportnetting.com/mats.htm Any comments are appreciated Eric
  12. Ok...at the local par 3 course....144 yards....Balls lands on the green perfectly....a little roll...I am walking up and I see my ball on the green......right in the MIDLE of an old cup placement from the day before...I remember because I played that weekend...LOL... It wasn't my fault they moved it....
  13. at this one course near here...My friend and I came up with the "camera crew rule" This course is not really maintained that well....as it is a small par 3... and Sometimes you hit into the semi rough and you cant find the ball....Now this rough should be shorter....But whatever....LOL....So the camera crew rule states....That if you had a camera crew following your ball.....You wouldn't have lost it. LOL But the most common rule I see people break is picking up there ball on the fairway to clean it or going up to put there gimme in and doing the one leg in ther air and putting the one footer and missing and not counting it.
  14. My buddy is working there this year....I did it back at Shinnecock, I volunteered for the week and worked 4 - 4 hour shifts...I was waterboy, I got to deliver water bottles, gatorade and such to the tee boxes and I had under the rope access....It was so sweet. DAvis Love actually asked me for a gatorade. HE said, " Do you mind if I get one of those? " I said sure...no problem.....Then he said " Hi...Davis Love III " I was like..." Yeah....Love your work" Spent most of my off time at the 11th tee and 10th green. That false front and huge valley was awesome....You don;t really here them curse on TV....BUT OH THEY DO... !!! lol
  15. Cool...See..I have the Tommy Armour Ti-100's now. And I really want to upgrade. I mean....They have a Kumo Driver....same color...same shape...same material.....But it's not a Sumo!! But they hit the same to me....Just wondering if I was missing something.....It's not really the vash either...I mean...a set of x-20 go for less than 500 on ebay... Thanx all Eric
