  1. Thanks for the link, that looks great. Will read that in a few here. About the hip muscle fatique, is it really possible for this reason that I have a hard time dropping My arms on the start of the down swing? Or is it because I'm tired , my brain tells me to swing harder thus the over the top swing?
  2. Thanks for the half baked reply. what a waste of space. MOVING OOOOON.
  3. How are you all doing? It's been a long time since I post in here. I need advice regarding my swing... Irons: I can hit all my irons with the inside swing path by dropping my arms first on the down swing. However as I become tired, I find it harder to drop it, rather my shoulder spins and I create an over the top swing. I can hit all my irons almost perfectly , until my hip muscles become tired and tight. So why is this and how do I fix this problem? Driver and 3wood: I really have a hard time dropping the arms to create that inside swing path. I hit the driver poorly now. Intact , today I tried dropping my arms again by bumping my hips to clear the path for my arms to drop and I ended up low hooking the ball all the time. Please help with this as well.
  4. Ok, so with mine, if I just turn on the odometer for say 2 hours, then play 1 round of golf, I already have to recharge the battery. This is the only gripe I have on this watch, otherwise, it's super convenient and doesn't get in the way of the swing.
  5. No I mean , those rechargable batteries will eventually go bad in a number of years.
  6. How about the battery? Can you go to a watch store and replace the lithium battery? I'd be very unhappy if you spend $200 on a watch and one day it just dies...
  7. I introduced analyzr to the facility and they like it. But they are wondering if there's any way it can be mounted to the auto capture unit. I checked their cameras, and they have a different camera than the normal V1, they look industrial .
  8. so with Analyzr, I assume I'll need: My Macbook 2 cameras to capture and that's it? I believe the V1 has an auto motion capture so that you don't have to keep pressing buttons on the laptop to start / stop, correct?
  9. Why does V1 stink? And why is analyzer a better option for me?
  10. I see... I thought that the cameras are included. But those cameras , I'm pretty sure I can still find them when I go back to Japan. Any ways, what would be a good idea for me to have at this point? Or again... is going to the facility the best bet?
  11. I have a macbook as well as PC. I'm thinking of having this system like an instant slomo playback after every single swing to check on. Like the V1 I was using today at the facility.
  12. I'm considering buying a system such as the V1 with 2 cameras and install it at home. The question is, is it worth $1700 ? Or would it be better to just rent it at the academy once in a while? And is a system like this mainly just good for 1 swing? Anyways, just wondering if it's a good purchase for a non-teaching purpose or not.
  13. Oh ok, so hitting on uphill lie = ball back 1 inch And on Downhill lie = Ball forward 1 inch And still level your body to the ground, correct?
  14. What is the actual basic for hitting a ball up and downhill? What the 1 rule of thumb I need to imprint in my head, so that I don't have to think too much. Uphill doesn't pose too much trouble for me, I just put the ball 1 inch forward and level my body to the angle of the ground. So does downhill mean put the ball back 1 inch and still level the body / spine to the angle of the ground? Played at a course where all the holes are a combo of these ups and downs and I noticed that instead of having 1 swing thought, I start to wonder what's the actual basics. WHen I do so for the downhill shot, not only did I lose distance, but the ball flies very low. Thanks
  15. I think it feels that we have different swings for iron and wood because specially with the driver, our spine angle is more tilted, when infact the swing is the same... at least that's for me. Another thing I noticed is that for the driver and 3W, I need to lean my head back just a little to align it with the spine, otherwise, I can't even tee off...
  16. I second the winter gloves. They are nice and they have a slot on the left hand for a tee. I don't find them "warm" per se, rather they help a ton against wind and cold temperature.
  17. Thanks, those distances is about 75% of the time , 25% I'm really off upto perhaps 20-25ft on the pitch shots. But it's my drive inconsistency that makes me a 14 still... one day is one thing, the next day is another... OH, I didn't know about those attributes! Thanks for sharing! About the LW, I actually learned this from Phil Mickelson's DVD series. Is it not recommended still or am I thinking of something else? I use my LW a lot for chips , but for 10yds in, I use my SW.
  18. Sean_miller: I'm rather surprised that a golf forum can consist of a dick like you. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this were some kiddie video game forum. But yea, let's see what was I going to say? Oh right... nothing good to say... then shut your P-hole or I'll do it for you if by the small chance I ever meet you. Prick. Newtogolf: Thanks for the advice. Actually everyone I talked to is against it, so I'm keeping the standard loft.
  19. My chip shots from this distance to the hole has been something like this: 50 - 40 yds : 5-15 ft 30-20 yds : 5-10 ft 15yds and in : 5-6 ft From the longer distance I can put more spin with my LW to make the ball not roll too far But I have a hard time narrowing the accuracy. 30yds and in I use either SW or LW and I can't seem to put enough spin and the ball keeps rolling. I can of course use 8 or 7 iron to chip and make the carry a lot shorter, but I want to learn usingnthe wedges better. What are the methods that I can use to improve this part of my game and land the ball within 3-4 ft ?
  20. Taylor: your answer is so obvious and so right I actually forgot about my 3/4 7i swing to make it go 165yds... I feel rather stupid now. Harmonius: I just got back from loft check and shaft fitting an hour ago. All my lofts are good and about 4* apart too. Except my 6i . It bent to 32 1/2* from the original 31*. So we got that fixed. Plus I need px6.0 now instead of 5.5. And I just discovered that I'm hitting my 6i muscle back blade an average of 191yds. Which is further than a burner cavity back iron. The 20yds diff between my 8&7 is still there, we can't figure out why. Both clubs are 4* apart. Lastly, you are right, harmonius, I decided to keep my normal player"s loft. I need to work on my driving consistency and narrowing my chip shot to within 3-4th rather than 5-6ft to the hole. Thanks for the reminders... There's so much to golf that some times I forget what I know already.
  21. I'm very comfy with my wedges actually. It's the irons that irk me a little. I'd like to swing easier and still get the normal distances. So how the heck can I get. 20yds diff between those 2 clubs?
  22. I'm thinking of bending PW-5 1* stronger ... But again, im not sure if it's a good idea since all I want is distance.
  23. I'm thinking of bending my irons 1* stronger for the sake of getting more distance (around 5yds), but also I don't want to keep swinging hard. I have never done this before, so is it recommended? When is it time to do such a thing? My current yardage: Lw - 90 Sw - 100 Gw - 110 PW -125 9 -145 8- 155 7 - 175 6 - 185 5 - 195 So another thing which is weird is that I have a 20yds gap between my 9&pw; as well as 7&8 can this happen? Is this rather normal?
  24. Got it. Thanks for the advice.
  25. Ok, that's what I thought. That's what I feel when my hips get tired. Thank you PS: so does a 3/4 swing tends to make a fade ball flight then?
