I am enjoying this forum so far uttexas Phil, I do love watching Barca play. I had the opportunity to go see Messi and Argentina play the USA last night....he is crazy good. I personally am an Inter fan. I also enjoy Man City as well as Barca.

I plan on getting lessons this year and a good fitting. I upgraded the putter that I have just a few days ago to a TaylorMade Medona 8 CGB. I have been looking hard at the Calloway NG X20 or the TaylorMade Burner Super Launch.....but I want to have lessons before I spend more money on clubs.

Hey, I am new to golf and was thinking about this tonight at work. I was wondering if nicer clubs would help my game at all. I currently have a Maxfli Fire set and was wondering if I upgraded to like the Calloway X20 or the TaylorMade Burners if I would see a difference? I know this is kind of hard to discuss without seeing my swing, but just on how the clubs are made are there some more forgiving for beginners? Did I make a mistake choosing the clubs I have, or is it a good choice to start out with until I get the fundamentals down? Maybe I care to much about brand names too.....who knows Just some thoughts. This is my second year playing, but is going to be my first year of really getting out there and working on it. Hey Guys!! Just wanted to stop by and say "hey". I am new to this site and new to the game of golf. I am 24 years old and started playing last year. I am not that good lol, but am working on it. I am wanting to take lessons but they are pretty expensive and being a newlywed I do not have tons of money to use on my hobbies. I own a crappy set of clubs that I purchased one day without doing any research and am stuck with them, but I am slowly adding and replacing. I have a Maxfli Fire set (driver, woods, irons), a Slazenger putter (next to be replaced), a taylormade r7 60 degree lob wedge and a Taylormade RAC 6 iron. I have never actually played on a real golf course. I have played a lot on a small 9 hole course in the area. My goal is to get comforatable with everything before I take it out and make a fool out of myself. I am stuck in the rut of my clubs all have to be the same brand (why I have no idea) and am trying to force myself out of that. Sorry if I ask the same questions that everyone asks...I know that can get annoyong for some of the long time members on this forum so just hang in there with me. Anyway....just wanted to say hey Steven Smith
