  1. Guys, That's the thing!!!!! I did buy a brand new ( in the wrapper) NVS shaft. I looked on the aldila website and they only list a .335 diameter tip on that shaft. It appears on the Callaway website as one of the choices in the X460 driver. I assume they don't make two different sized driver head shaft holes???????? Must be some kind of sleeve or adapter to make this shaft fit the head?
  2. Hi Guys! I need some advice. I recently bought a Callaway x 460 driver and wanted to change the shaft from stock to an Aldila nvs 65 stiff. I found one in the package on ebay and bought it for 50 bucks. I thought I had made a good deal until the guy I sent the club to to change shafts called me and said my shaft is too small in tip diameter??????? I had no idea there were different tip diameters for different drivers! ( pardon my dumbness) Anyway, the X460 is a through bore head design. Is there a way to make the .335 diameter shaft fit that head? Is there some shim or something that can be installed? Please help this Olduffer!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Guys, I have the V1 Home software which is supposed to allow me to put video from my Hi 8 camera onto my computer and is supposed to allow me to compare and analyze my swing faults to that of a chosen pro (and I have many such faults) The problem is that my camera is not equipped with Fire wire and I need an external "video capture" device to install between my camera and my computer. Can anyone make me a recommendation to get this working?
  4. Thanks. What is "fire Wire" My computer doesn't have it. Don't know if the camera does. I went to the website you suggested and took a look at the software. They analyzed my pc and said I don't have the fire wire you referenced. Do you need it for both computer and camera? Is it a connection device between both? Regards, Ron
  5. Hi Guys, I took a couple of lessons some time ago where the pro used some computer softwear and a video camera to record my pitiful swing and place me side by side with a pro on his computer screen to compare and possibly troubleshoot some of my many swing flaws. I found it invaluable cause you never think you are swinging like you are really doing it. The software is for sale in Golfsmith but they don't tell you what hardware you need other than a handycam and a computer. I have both but then there must be some intermediate hardware like a "capture Device" that is required. I can't get any help from Golfsmith as to what component I really need. Does anybody have this and can you tell me specifically what I need to make it work?
  6. Dan, I 'll sure try your recommendations. Right now I'm scared to death to even swing at the ball except on the range where I don't have to worry about finding it! I'll let you know how things turn out.
  7. Thanks for the help. I have been trying to go straight back but maybe I'm not doing what I think I am? Make sense? Wish I could see myself in slo mo on video! I cured my duckhooking but taking a more neutral grip. Felt weird but did help that . Now, with the shanks, I don't know what to think about anything. I'm scared to even swing!
  8. Thanks Eric. As soon as the rain stopps I'll give it a go! I really appreciate any help I can get. Never realized that the S----s could be so debilitating!
  9. Hi All! I need help badly! Have been playing nearly two years and have taken 12 lessons so far. I started out with a pretty strong grip and did ok if not consistant. Then, this spring I started duckhooking everything. I went to another coach who put me into a neutral grip saying that now I would be able to extend and release the club better. I think it cured my duckhooking but now I am hitting it way too close to the hosel. In fact I am doing the S----k! Can't hit a wedge to save myself. Nothing seems to help me hit it in the center of the club. Can anybody help me out? Regards, Ron
  10. Hi Guys, As a rank beginner (emphasis on Rank) I read too much, think too much, and play way too poorly. I waited till I turned 50 last year to decide to get hooked on golf. Right now its sort of a love/hate relationship I am hoping to improve. I hope you guys and ladies are willing to help out. Regards, Ron
