  2. Update - It's scary how ugly my swing was. I've been working pretty hard on it this summer and have had some success. But I'm always looking for advice on how to improve. Thanks
  3. I can't help but to bring my club too far inside during my backswing. I get it into postion nicely at the top, though, sometimes crossing the line. My swing ends up a little steep coming down but remains inside-out (most of the time), producing good shots. I'm looking for advice/drills that will allow me bring the club into position properly at the top. (On or slightly above the plane created by my downswing) Thanks in advance.
  4. You're doing it wrong. I wasn't implying that I do any of these things (I do). Eventually one of these shots will pop up, with anyone.
  5. I used to play on a 9 hole course with no driving range. So my practice would come from hitting balls into a pasture or playing two balls on the course. Now I have the luxury of a driving range. If you're at the range, what do you think about after hitting the following shots and how you need to fix them? Let's say you're hitting a 7 iron and you: 1. Push it right of the target. 2. Pull it left of the target. 3. Hit it thin. 4. Hit it fat. 5. Hit a fade/draw while attempting to hit it straight. Keeping it simple. e.g. weight forward, head down, etc.
  6. Thanks for the advice. Is my club head aimed where I'm aiming or do you think it's still too far right? (it looks like my feet are pretty much aimed at the tree also) I now it's hard to see because I asked my girlfriend to film standing with the ball between her and the flag.
  7. Had trouble embedding the video. Next time I'll know to: Click the video button in the toolbar. Paste in the URL to the video on YouTube or Vimeo.
  8. First off, this was recorded w/ my phone, so I apologize for the quality. I'm looking for some tips to improve my swing, aside from being aimed off to the right. Looking at the video I'd say I'm too far from the ball and my back-swing is coming in too low. When I miss it is almost always to the right. Thanks in advance.
  9. Holed out from the bottom of a valley, hitting my 64 degree sandwedge as hard as I could, something like 50-60 yards. Got up to the green and there it sat, in the bottom of the cup. I snickered a bit and went to the next hole. You hate to even tell people that story since it was done by yourself. But what the hell? Go for it.
  10. That makes sense. Thanks!
  11. Thanks for the response. How about at the point of contact? In terms of where my belt buckle should be pointing. I'm assuming at the target, but I could be wrong. I'd just watch videos to see but I'm at work and am unable to. Dang IT guys.
  12. Is there a general rule when it comes to waist rotation? I found that I was rotating too far back during my backswing which was/is causing me to push the ball, as I'm not getting caught up during my downswing. When I push it, the ball will generaly travel around as far as if I'd hit it straight. So it makes me thing that my alignment at impact is just off a bit. It's really not a huge problem and I believe I'll be able to figure it out before long, I was just wondering what the general "rule of thumb" is here. Thanks in advance.
