  1. I am looking at buying a Big Moss putting green, and I see they offer "chipping balls". http://www.bigmoss.com/the-original-22.html Am I able to get realistic practice on this mat with regular golf balls? Any other tips or recommendations would be great! Thank you.
  2. As the title says, I am looking to buy a good mat and have heard good things about Real Feel Mats. Is their website reputable? Has anyone actually ordered from them? Any suggestions to other mats or websites would be appreciated as well. Thank you!
  3. Last week at the range I began standing closer to the ball and swinging inside out. I was hitting awesome shots there. Now today when I tried to implement that on the course, it was horrendous. Off the tee is, ok. I say that loosely. Usually when I have a bad shot off the tee I can tell almost right away what I did wrong. I need to figure out how to work it in the rough. How do I read the lye in the rough and implement that to a decent swing to advance forward, and get out of the rough?
  4. I am 30 years old, and have been golfing only a year. I thought I have been improving until my last two rounds. I only play 9 holes at a time, and am lucky to be able to get to the range once a week, and lucky to be able to play every other week. Last year I was always in the 60s, (yes for 9 holes), and this year I started right where I left off with last year. My last 4 scores were 54, 51, 59, 59. See how I thought I was improving, and then BAM! Wake up call! I don't know what to do, I love the game, but I just don't know how to improve. One thing that I like to do is hit some balls before I play, but only one course around here has a range at it. If I don't get to hit before I play, I think it gets in my head. My trouble today was being able to hit well out of the rough, I just couldn't. If I am using the correct terminology, I think most of my shots from the rough were hit fat. I would take a pretty good size divot, and the ball would go about 100 yards. If you understood my rambling, any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
  5. I am looking for recommendations for a mat and a net to use in my garage this winter. Thanks!
  6. I have been golfing only a year, and love it. However, with working 50+ hours a week, going to school, and two kids my time to get out is pretty limited to say the least. For the most part I play 9 holes every other week, and MIGHT be able to get the the range for an hour once a week. What is recommended for keeping my swing alive when I can't get out? Also, the weather where I live makes golf out of the question for about 5 month out of the year. What should I / do people do for 5 months to keep the rust away? Thanks!
  7. I have been golfing for one year. My last two rounds of 9 holes were 54, and 51 at two seperate courses. Would it be recommended for me to take a few lessons, or get my current set of clubs fit to me? I am playing Callaway X22 irons, and a Callaway FT-iQ driver.
  8. I hit it on Friday at the range for the first time and was pleased with the results. I played with it today and I LOVE IT! I feel that I can guarantee myself 200 yards carry and some hits reach out to 250 on the roll. I played 9 holes today, and hit driver on 6 of them. I found myself in the fairway and was never more than 3-5 yards in the rough.
  9. Thanks. I ordered an FT-iQ from Callaway the other day, and already UPS has it listed at "out for delivery". I am staring out the window like a lonely puppy waiting for it.
  10. I have been golfing for about one year. I started with a used Cleveland Hi-Bore Monster and had a nasty, nasty slice. I became so annoyed, I sold that, and bought a Ping G15 3 wood. I have been hitting the 3 wood off the tee with some moderate "success", and am thinking I would like to give another driver a try. I have been hearing great things about the Callaway FT-iQ, and have seen them recently at MC Sports for $99.99. Being that I can not hit one at MC Sports as they don't have a range, I am nervous about buying one with out trying it, even though that's what I did with my 3 wood. Anyhow, I am considering getting the 'draw' version. I have always been against this, but my skill, or lack of, is changing my mind. However, I am worried about buying a draw and then regretting it later. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
