1. I understand that but when I do that the arms run off and it still gets long. I need to match up my shoulder turn with my arm turn as "one unit" to shorten my swing. Problem is I cant do it.
2. Do you meant a face on? The video i posted is DTL
3. Does it really look to rushed and fast?
4. I have struggled with an overswing forever. My problem is lifting the arms so telling me to "feel" half makes me only lift it halfway up, so I have no power. Whenever I try to turn though I just make this huge turn and it goes too long. I cant find a mix and their could me other issues. Take a look at the video.
5. when you are putting well what do you feel? Like do you feel everything moving as one piece or? I am not putting well but my stroke is good. just bad timing. any feelings you can share?
6. yeah. I have adopted this technique for greenside now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2bTkbXhick
7. Mr desmond: My course said the exact same thing. Give it a chance to settle. And dozu the sand at the pga was a harder firmer sand which is what we used to have. That is easy to get out of as long as your stay down through the shot. I still havent found a technique
8. Yes I know but you have to hit so close to the ball to hit it out that you have a better chance of skulling it than you do hitting it clean. It is not really fluffy sand as much as it is dense and thick sand. I can say it is really close to beach sand.
9. Like I said it is like a beach sand. When you walk in it your feet sink in a little. I'm pretty good out of bunkers and I know it is not my technique because no one can get out of these consistently well. I might try and develop a little bit more of a shallow angle of attack to combat the dense and heavy sand
10. My home track just renovated all of our bunkers, design and all but the new sand is cheap beach sand. It is almost impossible to hit a clean shot with a good trajectory and spin. You are almost forced to take a gap wedge or pitching wedge and just punch it on the green. Has anyone experienced this and is there a way to combat it? I'm hoping when they get some rain on the sand it will firm up but that is a hope.
11. Yes im on team titleist and mine have black numbers. In the past I've gotten Nxt tours to try out.
12. I got some golf balls from titleist and they look like a pro v1 but on the side it says "test". It says on a paper inside that it is prototype and test blah blah blah. Just wondering if any of you have gotten one and what you think
13. I've struggled on and off with face contact.. And for the past month I'm back to hitting everything off the toe. My ball flight is generally a hook or block. I can upload a video if that would help
14. Ok but when I do this will my hips still clear?
15. I saw the centered pivot thing and I think I do that. But I don't understand how to slide and stay centered
16. So slide but keep the head centered is way your saying
17. I've been saying that the entire time I have the lateral part down but my head moves forward as I showed in the picture
18. And I don't mean a slight lateral movement I mean no turn at all
19. Show me were you see any lateral movement in that, because all I see is a turn
20. Ok I will just try to always move laterally from now on. Pshh.. Who turns anyway?
21. Yes, obviously in a good golf swing will have the hips slide a little while the head stays behind the ball. But too much lateral motion results in the body tilting too much to the right. The hips turn more than they slide. That line was drawn at address and it is clear that the body has slid and tilted too far to the right. If anyone thinks that in a golf swing no lateral movement is correct that is wrong. Once the weight transfers to the left side the body stays centered and you turn. In my swing I bump and bump some more and I get out ahead of it. Once the weight transfers it is a turn not a slide.
22. The hips will bump and yes they will naturally move forward. But excessive lateral motion is like moving the ball back in your stance. If you watch tigers or rorys head it stays behind the ball not ahead of it.
23. Ok... Then how do I stay more centered and behind the ball?
24. DTL if it matters
