  1. Ugh, bad news! I went to the range once again today, and my slice came back. There was a wind blowing from northwest to southeast at about 20-30mph, and I was hitting the ball straight north. So, that probably made it much worse than if it wasn't windy. I DID hit five or six straight as an arrow, but about 90% of them were slices. Some slight slices, and some MAJOR slices. I think I am going to post a video, what angle would work best? With the front of my body facing the camera?
  2. Thank you everyone for the advice! I just purchased a Taylormade Burner 2.0 Driver, and it really helped me fixed my problem. I noticed that there were ball marks on the black club face whenever I hit, and I noticed the ball mark was always in the top left of the face. So I moved my club a bit further out so the ball was on the inside of the face, and I teed the ball a bit higher and VOILA! I also think a problem was my swing path going inside out possibly? I try to visualize my club kind of "gloving" the ball now. What I mean is, it feels like I am starting outside and coming in, but in reality, I am going perfectly straight because I was so accustomed to going inside out. I hope I can remember how I accomplished this, because today was the first day I have hit my driver straight, consistently, ever. I appreciate the technique video as well! I am a 18-year-old and I am 6'3" 278lbs, and with my slice I could only hit it MAYBE 200 yards, and that was on a GREAT drive. Today, I hit it 250-260. With my strength, is this a reasonable distance? My 6'1" 148lbs friend can drive it close to 240 consistently, and I was just wondering if I should be able to outdrive him a little better? Just so I can say I am better of course ;) . But again, thanks everyone for the advice! I really appreciate it!
  3. Well, my problem is that I have a slice. But the real problem is this: I only have a slice with my driver! Last year I consistently had a slice with my driver and my woods, but this year it has shifted towards only my driver. I did purchase two new woods; a 3 and a 5 wood from gigagolf.com, the TRX Series. I am absolutely satisfied with these products, and I have completely given up using my driver off of the tee, as I can hit the ball far straighter and farther with my 3 wood. My driver is a Callaway Big Bertha (Modern style but not new by any means). I just don't know why I could be ONLY slicing my driver and none of my other clubs. I have listened to all of my friends' and my father's advice about this, but everything they have told me has no effect on my swing. I was just wondering if any of you have had any similar experiences? Maybe some advice? I just know it is making me miserable not being able to hit a driver. Thanks in advance guys and girls!
  4. They are from about 2002-2004 I would say. But I could be wrong. Maybe something like '05.
  5. The clubs I am thinking about buying have weights that you can use to adjust the feel of the club head. I was wondering if that is legal for competition? What I mean is there are separate weights you can add or take away that make it either heavier or lighter, and I tried searching it on google but I didn't come up with anything hardly! Thanks in advance.
  6. Thanks newtogolf. The grooves on my clones are just like my father's clubs, and his are not clones. So I think I should be fine. Thanks though!
  7. That is a relief! I have not purchased a clone driver, as I have a Callaway Big Bertha from a while back. I have only purchased some clone irons (GX922s) and they are not claiming to be something they are not! Thank you for the response. I really appreciate it!
  8. Are clones allowed in competition? All they are is a copy of other clubs, and that means nothing on them is illegal. But my high school is getting a team this year I was wondering if I can use clones in competition. Thanks
  9. I have already purchased from gigagolf the GX922 Irons, and I must say I am EXTREMELY happy with the purchase. I am a 17-year old male and have just recently taken up golfing this past summer! My friend's uncle has the Callaway X-22's (Of which the GX922's are clones) and he says my irons hit almost as well! Which is awesome! Well, I am thinking about buying the TRX Pearl Fairway Woods, and maybe a hybrid or two. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with these, and if so, how do they compare to the actual Taylormade Burner's? I might even buy a TRX Driver! It just all depends on the feedback I get here in all honesty. If you have any opinions on the TRX Woods or Drivers I would be glad to hear it! Thanks in advance everyone!
