I've been golfing for about 3 years now and I've been using this set for about a year. Im in the Florida area so I get to golf year round and least once every 2 weeks.
I started out with GI Tour Edge clubs and they suited me pretty well when I started out. After I felt like I outgrew them I did a hapzard search for my next set without doing any real concrete research. I read a couple of reviews on how good the Pi7's were and was able to find them on a good deal.
I generally shoot around 100, so certainly Im not that great, but moreso I've felt with these irons I've been on a steady decline in my progress at becoming a better golfer. I went back to look at more reviews online i was noticing that it seemed like these clubs were more suited for a low handicap golfer than me.
Am I reading too much into this? I played with my friends R7's the other day and I was hitting the mess out of them. They had much more feedback than my Wilson's and were consistently straighter. Then again, its also been said that sometimes we swing more freely with someone else's clubs because its "new to me". So who knows.
Im rambling at this point, so if you are still reading, what is your take on this? I'd really appreciate it. I dont mind looking into another set if I have to. I'll gladly by some used R7's if thats where I am right now. I dont have to have the latest and greatest nor the fanciest or best looking club. Just want them to work for me.
Thanks.
