Jack Hamm's infomercial is so hilarious, I had to DVR it and show all my friends. Hilarity ensues. The Golf Channel should be reprimanded by the FCC for still airing that, just for the feathered hair alone... With quotes from "Tour Pros" Like: "if jack could just learn to 3 putt he could make a million point five on tour" if you hit every green in one and 3 putted you would only shoot par. And that's only when you drive the 550+ yd par 5s. Which Jack Hamm does on a regular basis. When he climbs that mountain to find a driving range to contain his mighty blasts I almost piss myself. Or when he pokes out from behind the palm tree and screams, "Do you wanna add 50 yards on to your drive?!!!!!!!!!" I'm laughing just thinking about it, despite the fact I watched it 10 times. "I bet you I could throw a football over them mountains" - Uncle Rico, Napoleon Dynamite; comes to mind. Here was something written in an online review that I have to post; it made me laugh so hard: "well i took a chance and bought this club should have spent the 120 bucks on a stripper i would have had better results ive hit and hit with this club i tried screaming boom pow and go like he does and that didnt work i screamed so loud and swung so hard i almost crapped my self people were looking at me like i was crazy 180-210 was all i could get out of this club i finally threw the damn thing in the pond and a carp swam up inspected the club and tossed it back out of the pond evidently the fish have the same perception of this club as i do save your money buy a good brand of club enjoy better results" Another review to explicit to post states that the unhappy customer now uses it as a sex toy to jab his girlfriend with...Nice guy, just check out the youtube clips of JACK HAMM or watch the Golf channel at 4 in the morning.

Has anyone tried bang-o-matic irons?
frustrated replied to frustrated's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
They are legit. All Drivers for Bang are USGA legal except for 2 out of the 18 or so they produce. I don't know about the irons and probably won't ever know. I really like the cg-16; But as far as the driver I've tried, Mellow Yellow, it's absolutely awesome...I won't put how far I hit it on here because it causes a backlash of harsh non-believers. But it was 15 yards longer than my favorite driver that I cracked; And about 25 yards longer than all the big names that i hit. Even though the Mellow Yellow came out 8 years ago. As far as no-names go. You have to remember the Taylor Made bubble burner was an infomercial with little more credability than "Bang, Pow, Yeah" Jack Hamm's the Hammer. Except they had a quality product and TM became huge. Companies that are at the top of any market have the money and ability to discredit, buy out, and discourage small competitors. Look at Budweiser-inbev 48% market share of beer, despite its horrible product. They pound the sheep with advertisement and mind numbing repetition. Adams for instance sent me a free replacement Speedline 10 when I busted the discontinued Adams Insight Square driver. The Speedline was completely dead...not the line, but that driver. They offered me an F11 at cost and I turned it down because the Bang driver I own now is flat out better. -
Tell me about great swing thoughts and best shots, I came across a good takeaway thought today at the range. Just keep the left hand connected as long as possible to the club with no break or wrist hinge. With a takeaway around 1 o'clock, 12 being straight back. Was putting them out there. My best 3 shots 1. Hole in one, 145 yd par 3, 10 yards down hill...playing a precept laddie and hitting a ping eye 2 PW, I landed it 3 inches past the hole and about 2 inches left. It litterally hit then jumped about a foot in the air and fell back into the hole. I would expect that from a pro-v but i was lucky to spin back that rock of a ball. 2. Par 5, bad drive into the right rough. Uphill/side hill lie, blind shot. 200 yds out, trees directly in front of me. with a base ball swing I hit a pull slice (right handed) around the trees and out of sight, spinning my 5 iron on the follow through because I thought I may have hit the green. I ran up the hill, jumped in the cart and saw I had a 5 inch tap in for eagle. 3. 230 out long par 5, sidehill ball above my feet, barely visable. the last 30 yards all over water, trees in front of me. Holding an Adams 2iron hybrid. In the backswing my inner voice said Fu(& it. I figured a bad shot gets me a triple. A bullet comes out, kisses the thinnest part of the tree limb, turns a hook into a straight shot. Lands softly 6 ft above the hole. 3 putt for par. WTF. LUCKY and bad. Best shot I've ever seen...a 65 year old man who probably weighed 95 lbs hitting a driver on a 165 yd par 3 for his first hole in one ever. hit em like you hate em

Has anyone out there hit the bang-o-matic irons? I would like to know if they are worth anything. Just ordered a BANG golf Bang-o-matic Driver, 46" Aldila NVS 65 x-stiff, w spine alignment assembly, I'll be slaping it around really soon...I can't believe there was some, Japanese named shaft...not Fujikora that was $1000 as an option. I have a bang golf driver now and I usually don't hype up products, but when I demo'd the Mellow Yellow driver (you can get them for around $100 new) I was sure it was illegal. 30 yards longer than the brand new Speedlines, Titlelists, Taylor Mades.

mazzamout & spyder, thank you...that's exactly right, if you or your group can't do it, then I guess it can't be done. I'm just trying to be honest and some people focus on something that wasn't the point of the post at all. Look at Mike Austin, he hit one 515, when he was 64, with a persimmon club, in a tournament. I can't help it if the non-believers just dropped $400 on a R11 and are using it on par 3s. I paid $40 for my driver used and it's nasty.

@ CPT, solid advice, golf is just that one thing I can't really get my head around. I saw an interview with Greg Norman, I didn't know it was even possible...but he didn't pick up the game until he was 16 and was scratch within one year. I know it's pointless to compare yourself to a world class athlete, but Greg's progress is bordering on a cruel joke from God. 23 years of playing and screw scratch, my best score is a 73. Like I said before, I go two or three days where I hit it amazing on the range, or usually 6-12 holes where i'm 3 or 4 under, then I just simply forget how to swing a club. I went yesterday and tried/demo'd an ap2 6 iron on the simulation range. Hit 10 shots all of them went about 50 yards. Figured out I was lifting/scooping. I haven't done that in forever, I don't know why bad habits keep coming back. For about 5 years I swung like Jim Furyk, then didn't play for 4 years, picked it back up and have now grooved a good swing. What I need is a consistent set up and takeaway, when those work everything else seems to fall in to place...but that is wavering and inconsistent at best.
