  1. The more I look around, the more surprised I am at how NOT visible some manufacturers colors are. Earlier this fall I almost tripped over a pink Crystal Precept that someone else had lost in the middle of a fairway. It blended right in with the dirt. Yesterday in a store I saw a box of yellow E6, but they looked almost like a pale green. I think I could find any of the balls on the left as easily or more easily than a white ball, but the ones on the right look like they were designed with something other than visibility in mind. Crystal balls in particular look difficult to play with.
  2. Or hunters don't think it's manly to wear pink.
  3. What color ball do you think is most visible? Obviously white is the traditional favorite, but personally I have trouble with white this time of year as the sun is lower in the sky, the grass turns that white/yellow/brown color (at least here it does), and there are faded dead leaves on the ground. I've heard good things and bad things about yellow and orange balls. Based on my experience with surveying, I would think day-glo pink would stand out in the widest variety of conditions. "I only play what's traditional" comments aside, what color do you think is easiest to see this time of year?
  4. I am a beginner. I was hitting my Cleveland CG16 56* two dot (14 bounce) at the range today. And I was getting the expected steep trajectory from a grassy lie. However, from hard bare dirt I was getting a much lower trajectory and had to power down to get the same distance. I understand that I am not getting under the ball as well on hard dirt. What is the solution? Less bounce? More loft? Better technique? 14 degrees seems like a lot of bounce, but Cleveland calls it "standard" so I'm not sure what my expectations should be.
