  2. I just checked oobgolf and they have the numbers of 56.9 and 90!
  3. Wild indeed-at least a good guess would have been 56. I called the course and talked to a lady that did not know what a course rating and slope rating was. She got back on the phone and said she could only find a USGA slope of 90.
  4. Thanks for the info. I have been shooting about 90 on just about every course I play regardless of how difficult it is. When I shoot an 82 at this place I am getting a negative raw score when figuring my handicap since the "rating" is 86. I will contact the course and post what I find out.
  5. http://www.thegolfcourses.net/golfcourses/KY/Florence.htm The above link shows the course information for World of Golf. The information posted there is the same that is posted on the score card.
  6. I have been basically playing golf since this past summer. Since I am so new I have trying to play a variety of courses to get a handicap. Here's my confusion: I have been playing a local executive course that is less than 3000 yards, at a par 58. course 86 slope 90 I thought that the course rating is what a scratch golfer should shoot and slope is the measure of how quickly the difficulty becomes for a high handicapper. 113 being average. By looking at my local course's rating it would appear by the slope that it is below average in difficulty and that a scratch golfer should shoot 28 above par?!? What am I not understanding? I can shoot better than 86 but i am far from scratch. I feel using scores from this course is giving my handicap a false low.
