  1. It's a little bit of insanity. Legend has it that one of the first umpires would finish work and head down to the ground still in their work gear and umpire the game. One of the first was a butcher and would umpire in his white butchers coat and hat.......and it stuck.
  2. Thanks mate, you're right about the arms...it's all arms and shoulders. The Idea is to create a solid moving mass of stick arms shoulders, then just pushing with the bottom arm. And believe me it was one take!!
  3. It's great, though very different to American football. Australian rules is played at a relentless , non stop speed whereas your game is very tactical. Love your game as well!
  4. Bloody good numbers there for your 5 wood. 85 % accuracy is great.
  5. Not my work Meenman. Kuykendalls "toss" , Gary Travis death grip chipping technique...... and a bit of fiddling on my part. PS the trusty 49 degree niblick is a very handy stick! I just wish they'd bring out a 60 wedge and squeeze up the gaps a little.
  6. Sorry mate but they were all solid, crisp, sweet, nice, um, whatever word you want. But this is getting a bit silly eh!
  7. So I guess you play golf to look like you can play golf, not for the results?
  8. Crisply??? Mate did you get to the end of the vid? 2 stone dead, 1 at 3 feet, 1 at 7 feet one at 10 feet one at 20 feet......not crisp enough for you? Chip or pitch? the shots were played from about 30/35 meters. I don't know what the difference between the 2. I'll basically use this setup from just on the fringe to 50 or 60 meters.
  9. Sorry mate did you get to the end? is that's the work of a 36 handicapper???
  10. Hey I got moved.....WEIRD! I forgot to add. I reckon this system would work even better for those guys that play with their dominant hand on the bottom. I'm right handed but play left but I reckon the tossing feel with the bottom hand would be even better on a bottom hand dominant player. The other thing I've noticed is if you can keep the club, wrist, arm arrangement stiff. then there is nothing else to think of. I mean, no body movement, not wrist cocking, no break and hold move, no weight issues Nothing. It's very unathletic, and very mechanical. Just swing the club.
  11. There is no other, Gdaddy.
  12. Kinda, my top hand thumb runs straight down in line of the club and the grip sits in the life line of the bottom hand.
  13. Shot this little chipping video the other day. This style really works for me. So the thing that makes it work is the fully separated hands. maybe 2 or 3 inches between the hands, enough so that the club, hands, wrists and arms are all one big arrangement. I try to feel that the bottom hand is underhand tossing (like Kuykendall's toss technique.) the ball. So far I haven't found a situation where this method doesn't work. I can pitch and run with it and fligh a 56 wedge right at the pin with it. So anyway watch to the end to see the results

  15. At bloody last, after a crappy year of cricket, and a flogging in India.....THE FOOTY"S BACK. Hoo fricken ray!!!! Go Brisbane Lions!!
  16. Your'e a diplomat, mate
  17. To be clear, I'm not arguing against weight shift, I'm arguing against it as a non negociable in the swing. I'm just not convinced that it's the important element that most guys on here seem to. I don't want to" fall out of the shot", But I know that if I can be anywhere from 50/50 to 70/30 then "weight forward" doesn't get in the way of my swing. I also know that if I go way forward in my transfer then that introduces a whole new can of worms and there all bad. "let me ask you....if his weight is back and his wrists don't break, how would he acquire any power at all" I think this is the same thing Erik has been saying for months about power in the swing.....I think he said I couldn't hit out of my own shadow. ......Flying it 250 meters is a big shadow The point is I'm using levers. I'm replacing the straight arm /cocked wrist lever with a lever that consists of a long lever(the club and the forearm locked together, the hing(the elbow) and the power source , the upper arm and triceps.
  18. Did you have a look at the wrist brace /non wrist brace video? There's no lead wrist break, is there. I don't know what else to do or say here. Look I'm not trying to trick anyone or be evasive or anything. Anyway, what now? a 5 iron video.......OK, I don't carry a 5 iron, I prefer a hybrid. I'll dig out my 5 iron a post a video. I've got a feeling that it still won't satisfy.
  19. Can you explain the wrist brace video? OK back on topic
  20. Yep, well, as you probably know I didn't put that there.......or the little statement at the bottom of my posts........I mean it's a bit silly but all good fun.
  21. I'll refer you to the "my swing" area..........scroll right the way down and you'll see me hitting the ball with a wrist brace on. The wrist brace eliminates nearly all, and I mean ALL movement from the front wrist. Under that video is another with the brace taken off. You can try to pick the difference if you can. You, and a whole bunch of guys poo, pooed the whole Kuykendall method for months. I've showed you that I can hit the ball with out using my front wrist.......look at the video. I've showed you that I can generate enough power to drive the ball 250 meters plus using a 90 degree elbow hinge and a smaller than usual shoulder turn.......and a front wrist that has no impact in the swing at all.(Kuykendall says less than 10% bend is OK). Maybe you're so embedded in the "right way" you can't or won't see it. Geez I hope Stoveny doesn't post his grip pictures. This place will go crazy
  22. I know that laggy feeling you're talking about. I know there's plenty of guys on this site wanting to understand that feeling and I found as soon as I started using the HSS grip I could really get the feel of lag. Good luck with your swing, but this site is a very "this is how you swing the golf club".......no exceptions!
  23. Geez man, I hit the ball from the tee into the hole......ughhh never mind. Thanks for the congrats.
  24. I think I'll say congratulations on your perfect game.
