  1. Thanks Jmdmbike, I did see they have a 50* wedge but being a lefty I'm having trouble sourcing it... Was told at my local shop it would be difficult to get considering it's last years model... Was actually pretty unimpressed by their sevice TBH. I did find a 52* RAC tumble wedge which i think I like. I already have the 56* and hit that really well. I also had a look at the options with the 3 wood. I had a swing of the burner 2.0 as well which felt pretty good and seemed to really pop off the face but it had a winn grip which I found really slippery. Would like to try the rbz and of course some other makes and models but i'm pretty limited with my left handedness. Who would have thought that a major golf chain (Drummond Golf) in Melbourne they would have so few options for us lefties?!?
  2. Thanks for the feedback. My thinking was along the same lines. 4i is 21* I've been thinking about the wedge gap as well. the PW is 45* and my SW is 56* so I've thought of something arounf 50-52* to somewhat fill that gap. It's just a matter of budget! I think the 3 wood will be first...
  3. Looking to make a few changes to the bag. Recently (last year) upgraded to some burner 2.0 irons and love them. I'm now looking at my fairway woods... currently carry a 3 & 5 wood. Never hit the 5 wood. Rarely felt the need for it plus i've found it a tough club to really hit well. What are peoples thoughts on perhaps ditching the 5 wood for a hybrid? Not sure what sort of hybrid I would need... My irons run 4-PW and hit them all quite well (most of the time!). I guess my sort of hybrid would be something similar to a 3 iron loft that I can play from the rough? Though I'm not sure on this. Currently when I'm in trouble I don't get too agressive with my recovery and will often hit a safe 4 or 5 iron... I'm also looking for some more distance off the 3 wood (it's 10 years old and goes only a little further than my 4 iron...) so may well get sucked into the rbz hype again... keen for peoples thoughts. should I just ditch the 5 wood, upgrade the 3 wood and wait and see if there is a need for a hybrid at all? cheers!
  4. Been reading the odd thread on here for a while and thought it time i got registered! I live in Melbourne and have recently got back into golf. Hoping to get the handicap into the low teens over the course of the year... Looking forward to chatting with you all. cheers!
