  1. It was $150/player. We are not going to play in the event again or at that course...lesson learned.
  2. Modified alternate shot is pick the best drive, and the other person hits the second shot. You alternate shots until the ball is holed. They had 9 birdies, 1 eagle, 7 pars and 1 bogey. There were two tournaments in one that day, the other being a 4-man scramble. They beat the 4 man scramble team by 1 shot, GROSS scores. Net score, they beat the 4 man scramble team by 7 shots.
  3. The other twosome were members as well, so they did attest the score...highly suspicious! Same twosome won last years event and won a trip to Whistling Straits. First place prize this year...all expenses paid to Pebble Beach for 2 days/3nights. There is a PGA tour event called the Franklin Templeton Shootout, which plays the same format. No Pro twosome recored a double digit under par score. They bogied 18, had they pared the 18th hole they would have shot 60! One away from the magical 59! Does this change anyone's opinion?
  4. Can you top this?? I played in a modified alternate shot format last week with a friend, and a twosome who's index was a 6.7 and 14.4 carded a 61 GROSS!! They went 30, 31 on a 6500 yd, 134 slope course. I've seen a lot over 25 years of golf, but never this! They were members at the local course. We filed an official protest but the head pro is not going to disqualify them! Your thoughts??
