whats an index? i tried to put nothing in the number box but they said no so i googled golf index and 25 came up as someone's so i copied it, i have no idea what it means whats a sand wedge look like? also what are good brands? ill head to dick's tommorrow and take a look at them, but i don't want some "pro shop salesman" or whatever they call them force me into buying a set i don't want. i buy alot of my firearms there so im familar with their pushy golf sales guys

hey guys, i've never golfed before and there are pleanty of courses in the immediate area. i found a set in the garage that had a worn/ripped bag and has the following. Callaway Steelhead big bertha 10 Adams Golf (forget details but will get back to you) driver? and a few Taylor made irons (on wikipedia it said iron sets usually contain 7 in 1 set, but i only have 4, is that an issue?) are these clubs still okay? are they worth anything? can i play with a mismatched set like this? i thought most people play with complete sets with matching bags and covers? thanks guys!
