  7. Sorry, I think you would be a happier golfer with the AP2 or equivalent.
  8. I think you would be a happier golfer.
  9. They are a players iron. The AP1 is oversize and is considered a game improvement iron. The new 714 AP2 is very blade like in appearance. Slightly larger. The weights are why its more forgiving.
  10. The short answer is blades are less forgiving on mishits. Blades give the player great workability when hit correctly. I just switched to the new AP2 from Titleist CB and I'm happy so far with feel and workability. AP2 is not oversized! The tungsten weight in the heel and toe in the AP2 is why they are much more forgiving on mishits. A lot of the best players in the world are utilizing this technology!
  11. That's not why. The heavier the mass your swinging the slower the club head speed. That's why Tiger was using a 100+ gram steel driver shaft this week; too slow him down. Dynamic Gold is great for high speed players, because of the weight and medium trajectory flight. Project X is a Tip stiff shaft and it is great for a higher flight and reducing spin rate. You would actually probably gain a half club or more with the PX. They are two different animals, so try it before you make the switch...
  12. SOFT-STEP the X-100's . I was in the same boat as you and it was the best move I've made. Dispersion is still just as tight. Only go with project X if you want less spin.
  13. Shafts will transfer. Just ordered my 714 AP2's w/ softstepped TI X100. currently playing 712 CB's. Can't wait to try them out.
  14. Good luck!
  15. I have the inexpensive model (paid 80 new on eBay). I still use it everyday, and love it. Buy the cheap one and give it an honest month, before deciding. Uncomfortable at first. I think I'm gonna buy a back up, in case mine breaks.
