Thank you for your reply, I will have a go at the range tomorrow and see if I can reduce the activity in my shoulder movement at the end of the swing. Do you think that could contribute the a slice?

This is a video of me hitting a ball, what kind of effect would that head movement have on the ball, and can you spot anything that would cause a slice.

I have noticed my head movement is quite significant, I have quite a bad slice at times and I'm thinking it may have something to do with my head movement. My head will move up then down a bit during the back swing and just before hitting the ball it will move into my body and down, what effects could this have?

Thank you for pointing it out, I will have to work on turning my wrists around a bit sooner and keeping down more on the shot... I think that might be a possible cause.

When you say a few degrees left what does that mean I would need to do, to correct it?

I think it should have been an outside - in swing, I just made a mistake in title and question... at least that is the way I think I played it.

The shot goes straight right, even if I aim left or right and then it will shoot off further right with the slice.

I'm sorry I made a mistake, the pro at my golf course has recommended that I play with an outside to inside swing, not inside to out. My mistake, sorry.

My golf has been suffering from a bad slice and fade with the occasional hooks (driver only), I had a lesson with the pro at my golf club who told me to change my swing to a more outside to inside swing (4 o'clock) however this has only seemed to accelerate the slice which will probably be due to the face being open at impact? How do you think I could stop that best? I have a strong grip, bad upper back posture and also my head moves during my swing slightly... could any of these be the problem? Okay thank you, I will have a go at it tomorrow because I can hit a draw 75% of the time when I try it however I get put off if it turns into a hook or goes straight. I guess I will just have to persist at trying that shot even through the bad ones.

So would that mean setting up to draw the ball or setting up to fade the ball and consistently doing that shot? I do generally aim just to hit the ball down the center of the fairway with a straight shot.

I'm using the Nike Vr str8 driver, I switched to this after fixing a big slice in my golf shot (left to right ball flight), and at first I was hitting it nice and straight however recently I've been inconsistently hitting it (slicing and hooking at times), this is affecting my scores. I visited the pro at my golf club, I had to play with my irons as our range is flooded. The pro believes I have an inside to outside golf swing, and he has been trying to get me to go to an outside to inside swing... I am still practicing the drills he has taught me to do that however I can't see how that would cause such inconsistencies in my golf shots.
