Dear all,
I am looking to buy a Titleist 910 D3 and am looking for recommendations re. shaft choice and would really appreciate any recommendations. I am 24, 6ft 1 play off 7 and have a smooth swing with smooth transition @ 105mph on average with a driver. I currently hit Ping i15 driver/woods with a Axivcore 69 Red in them. Irons I play the old Callaway X Forged with PX Flighted 5.5s which work well for me (I like the heavier weight of them) and find them easy to shape. 8 iron is a staple 155 yards with a good flight shape.
The i15 is OK but having battled with it for a while its getting the chop......I'm struggling for distance (average about 275-280 yards) with it I believe because its launching slightly too high with too much spin even though the shaft does 'feel' nice. Its not ballooning but its not exactly penetrating.....into a wind I am definitely struggling and tend to tee the ball lower than what is probably ideal to compensate.
So the options I am looking at -
Project X Tour Issue X7D3 5.5 - Not sure if this will be stiff enough for me but considering it due to consistency with the irons.
Project X Tour Issue X7C3 6.0 - Perhaps better?
Project X Tour Issue X8C4 6.0 - I like heavier clubs but perhaps this is too heavy/difficult to load for me?
