  1. Thanks for the advice guys! Those are all definitely issues I've also picked up on. I guess the biggest thing is figuring out the best way to approach each problem area.
  2. The feeling of tilting and stretching out the right side is exactly what I've seen Adam Scott doing in his swings, it looks almost as though his head and right side are doing exactly what you suggested, even though as you said he is just making a turn around his axis... it makes a ton of sense now! Thanks a lot for the suggestions! I'll work on that this week and post my results!
  3. Thank you! As to the flipping, I spent the past two days doing drills suggested on the forums here to get rid of that! Do you have any suggestions as to drills or "feelings" I should have to get the right hip steeper? I'm not familiar with exactly what you're referring to, but I've always felt like my hips and shoulders were out of sync. I've also noticed my head moves quite a bit and I've always had issue with fixing that. Edit: Ahhh I see, so you're saying the tilt of my hips is more shallow than the tilt of my shoulders? In my analysis software, at the top of the backswing I noticed my shoulders were much steeper than the pros... I never could figure out a solid way to fix this! I'll definitely work on what you said! I greatly appreciate the advice!
  4. I've been Playing Golf for: 10 YEARS My current handicap index or average score is: 78-80 My typical ball flight is: I can usually hit a fade or a draw depending on the condition required The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: I don't get to play that often, I'm trying to mold my swing into a better overall swing... I'm not looking to eliminate any particular mishit. Basically I'm in school and that is just ending so I'm finally going to get to play again and I have been working to get my game back on track. With the wonderful improvement in cell phone cameras I've finally been able to view my swing in slow motion... This has done wonders for my game. I am able to finally see exactly what I am doing wrong and make some changes. The improvement has been so great in fact that playing for the first time this year on vacation in Hilton Head I shot my first Even par round ever at Hilton Head National, last week. Before this year I was generally a 80-85 guy. Nonetheless I'm still pretty inconsistent, so I'm trying to figure out some flaws in my swing that I can work on. Really hoping to hear your opinions! Thanks for the help guys! I'm open to any criticism, and willing to make any adjustments. I've completely developed this swing on my own just by watching videos in slow motion and trying to emulate the pros using some free swing analysis software I found... so I'm 100% sure I've developed some bad habits in here. Oh yeah, I'm a notorious "flipper." I read a post on here this week and worked on all the things you guys mentioned. Videos:
  5. Well to be honest, I have only been swinging in the house for the last 2 weeks trying to improve my swing. I was able to get out yesterday, although I only played four holes (I was teaching my wife how to golf so we were going slow.) My miss prior to the changes was a weak right shot, due to sliding and other issues. So I made all the changes you guys recommended. Along with some drills to improve (increase) my hand lag. Got out to the course and I was really drilling my short irons pretty much dead straight. Driver was all over the place, which I attribute to not having swung a driver for about 2 weeks. At the end of the day, I'm trying to get down to scratch from about a 7-8 handicap that I'm at now... so I'm working to master the 150 yard and in game. Looking to make any improvements necessary. I'll add those caddy views tomorrow hopefully.
  6. I've been working on making a better turn and all the stance corrections. Let me know what you guys think... does this look better from the first swing posted 2 weeks ago?
  7. Does anyone know or have a youtube link to the commercial where the girl seems to be golfing for her first time with her guy friends, she hits a bunker shot and drains it... then she gets super psyched about golf and get's really into the game. They show her buying all the gear, practicing, and getting lessons etc. Just looking for who made this commercial or a link to it!
  8. Get him lessons. He'll see himself improve and maybe a coach can work with him to control his attitude. Golf sucks when you make an initial improvement and then get stuck in the same rut for a long period of time!
  9. Ok so I just got a lesson at Golftec... It was good to be able to see my swing in ultra slow motion. Conclusions: Back swing was pretty good. Hip turn and shoulder turn back were both good. I'd like to get my hands a little higher. Downswing... turn for both my shoulders and hips was NOT enough. My hand lag is good right until the club gets to my back leg and then it release just a hair too quickly. My question is do you guys know of any solid drills for improving shoulder turn on the down swing with increased lag of the hands?
  10. Alright.... this stance was definitely harder for me to adjust to than the other. I think this is more in line with what you were saying though. Here is the front view. Really working on keeping my hips more rotated without sliding them.... I think it's definitely better than it was above. Keep the suggestions coming. I can feel my swing getting more and more solid with each new correction. I already can see on impact with a freeze frame I am in a MUCH MUCH better position. Thank you guys big time for the help.
  11. Alright I'm going to work on fixing my spine angle at address... This is something i've worked on for a long time, however my lumbars natural flex in concave as you see. Bending it over has always felt uncomfortable. Also, I'm going to continue to work on clearing my hips through the swing... I will say however those all are driver swings, which is a longer club and the hips naturally clear more with that club. Tiger certainly doesn't look like the above when swinging a PW.
  12. I am seeing that Tiger's legs are maintaining their original flex at impact WAYYY more than mine are, while still getting his hips through. Does anyone have any drills to work on this?
  13. Looks like I might be sliding my hips now... any way to work on activating the hips more without sliding?
  14. Here's the freeze frame of my impact point, my belt buckle is definitely more rotated than before.
  15. Here is the front view - I tried to bow out my knees slightly more. In addition I also was working on "firing" my hips more towards the target. Let me know if you guys think this is an improvement. Also, please point out any other areas you see that could be improved upon.
