  2. I love that ben hogan video- it should help get you on the right track. For someone who's only been playing the game 6 months I'd say you're looking good- I wish I could get some of my hack friends to dedicate half the time you are to getting better. Other then what you've already noticed (hands getting stuck in the first video) you just need a few minor fixes. If there's one thing watching professional golf can teach you on tv in 2012 is there are very few perfect swings anymore, as long as you're on plane at contact you can get away with some mistakes in your swing. Don't get too caught up on thinking so much shot to shot. Go out there choke down on the driver half an inch- it will give you more control and you'll hit more fairways. Most important thing to do when you play is keep your own scorecard- track you're fairways hit, greens hit, and putts made. That will give you an idea of what to practice more to lower your score, oh and keep us posted.
  3. We have a place in Brunswick plantation and go down twice a year for golf only trips. Thistle is my favorite course in the entire area- it's always in perfect shape and is extremely challenging. Tidewater is a great course as well but can get pricey in November. The witch is an okay course but man o war is awful. I personally haven't played world golf or arrowhead but have heard great things about wg. No matter what you pick any trip to MB is well worth it.
  4. I'm new to the site but no the game of golf. I didn't pick up my first set of clubs until I was 19, now at 28 I shoot mid to high 70's but I'm more interested in helping people get better at the game. I've never taken a professional lesson but I video tape myself at the range often and pick my own swing apart. I look forward to giving a little and taking a little from the site and the people who visit. I worked maintenance at a course for 3 years in college so I love paying attention to little things on a course when I play it for a first time. I look forward to getting to know people on the sand trap.
