  1. thanks alot j.p, What you say makes alot of scense. That is what i noticed, that when i fell like i hit the ball and stop the follow through i strike it much better. When i have had lessons the pros have said to not do the drill because it stops a free flowing follow through. I have been doing this drill for a while and it hasnt tranfered to my normal swing at all, maybe its because im doing it with full swings. i will try your suggestions. I am actually a 2 handicapp, im not sure why it says 36, i think it is because i didnt fill all the member form in properly. thanks alot for your help rhys
  2. hi, Is my port this crap, why isnt anyone answering? are the videos to difficult to download, or is the post just useless. Can some plz have a look at the videos and suggest a reason for me thinning the ball. thanks rhys
  3. hi, can anyone help me out? I hit lots of my shot thin with my irons and driver. I saw a drill in a golf book which said to stop the club quickly after impact. When i do this drill my contact is sweet. I have 3 videos of my swing at the bottom of this page, video 1 and 3 are my normal swing and video 2 is me doing the drill. Can someone plz look at them and suggest anything? thanks rhys http://files.filefront.com//;6222962;;/ http://files.filefront.com//;6223000;;/ http://files.filefront.com//;6223018;;/
  4. thanks muskegman, thats what i thought but the thing is i hit it really solid when i do the drill but i do actually hit it extremely low, what i dont get is how the drill will help with normal trajectory shots. i seem only to hit it solid when hitting the ball low
  5. Hi all, I had a golf lesson the other day from my local pro. The problem i had was hitting the golf ball thin. He gave me a drill which is to hit the ball as low as possible from a normal setup position, not with ball back but up in my stance. He didnt really explain why this would improve my swing, does anyone have any idea why this drill would stop someone hitting thin shots?
  6. thanks everyone for your suggestions and comments, i saw the tip in a golf instruction book by beverly lewis called "great golf tips", she is a pga pro and captin of the british pga. the tips says " a buckled left elbow, or trying to hit the ball up in the air, will cause thin shots. try hitting shots and stoping quickly after impact, this will activate the hands and improve the strike". ive tried the tip and it works for me but only when i do the exercise. i cant seem to get the same good strike on normal swings also i thin driver shots and little chip shots. anyone got any ideas on how to improve this situation? thanks
  7. hi, I am hitting all my shots thin from a little chip shot to a full driver. I saw a golf tip that says to stop the club head quickly after impact, which will stop thin shots. i tried the tip and it works but i cant transfer the same strike to my shots when i play on the course. does anyone know why stopping quickly after impact improves the strike? and how can i transfer it onto the course?
