I'm looking at Super Game Improvement clubs (I'm brand new and I suck); do you have any suggestions on brands and models I can research and try out?

I am a brand new golfer; I've played with some very cheap and very used clubs. I'm looking for advice on a good set of clubs for a brand new golfer. I don't want to break the bank, but yet I don't want a cheapo Walmart set that won't last. I live two blocks from a course and I will be playing 2 to 3 times a week. Any advice would be very much appreciated!
