Low bullets with the driver
mchichioco replied to mchichioco's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Well low like it only carries 150 and low like maybe 10 feet off the ground. On a flat easy course it's okay, but I'm trying to play hillier courses and an uphill hole low won't cut it -

Low bullets with the driver

I don't sorry... I understand it's easier to see my swing but could you give general advice about what causes low bullets with driver? I'll try to post a video when I can -
Hello, I am currently struggling with getting height on my shots, my drives go far but are very low and most yardage is from roll. I still have slice problems and it's usually a push slice. However when I hit it straight it doesn't fly... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Trouble scoring low all of a sudden?
mchichioco replied to mchichioco's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Well, the home course I'm at always has a few holes that slow play down, and it's just slow and sometimes for the dumbest of reasons.... Like a group dropped out behind us we were foursome and the group behind the dropouts were a 2some and they caught up, we weren't slow. And the Marshall gets pissed. It's just sometimes it throws me off but ill try to get a good routine going thanks for all the help -
Trouble scoring low all of a sudden?
mchichioco replied to mchichioco's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I did pick up a book all on the mind of golf since I'm on a 7 hour car drive. Basically they were saying all your thoughts on the course "color" your mind. Bright colors with positive thoughts and the opposite for negative thoughts. However the goal is to keep your kind almost colorless and keep a few thoughts in there. I think when I'm on the course I need to think less about my swing and more about what type of shot I'm hitting and How I'm going to execute it -
Trouble scoring low all of a sudden?
mchichioco replied to mchichioco's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
So where's the best way to establish a routine? Also I feel more comfortable going 2 practice swings but if I'm feeling rushed it gets harder, but what is the best way to find that "comfortable" routine and swing thought? -

Trouble scoring low all of a sudden?

Yes thanks a bunch, now that I'm thinking about it i do have alot going through my mins, it's gonna be bad but this is why I need help. Pre Shout Routine: 2 practice swings, next to the ball or behind it, it's different, usually only one swing if rushed, Swing thought whatever I'm trying to work on whether its head down dont sway etc. After reading yours I think I realized how clustered up my mind is. Again I'm not saying my swig is perfect, but like 95% of the time I don't hit a shank or far shot on the range from the grass tees. But it happens alot more on the course. So it's obviously not my swin entirely since I can hit it solid at the range. Any ideas of a solid swing thought and swing routine would be appreciated -
Okay guys I'm around a 14-15 handicap right now, incoming sophomore on the JV team. Lately I just haven't been shooting those 84-86 that I usuall shoot. Been scoring 88-93. However it's not that my swing is off, shortgame isn't horrible ethier. I go to my swig. Coach and we've been working on my swing and there isn't a major problem. I just can't seem to score well anymore. There's that one shot every hole that screws me up, whether it be a flub chip, or a hook. But it's a mistake I never or rarely see out on the range.. Is this nerves? Or is it that I'm not playing on the course enough? I play one 18 hole a week and go to the range 3-4 times a week. I'm pretty sure this is more psychological however ill list my main mis hits anyways. Snap hook on a really bad shot, too much of a draw on a bad shot. Normal push draw ball flight. Or thin hooks. Any help WILL be appreciated, cheers all

Hi guys, sorry I haven't been on in a while. I have been working on a stray body and really rotating. I've also gained a lot more consistency. I stopped slicing the driver but I'm hooking my shots now. Ill try to get a video when I can
-
Well I have lot of stuff to do with family this week so ill try to head out to the range when possible
-
When I think about it I am swinging out to the right, it's usually starting right then hooking back in... A few times it starts in line then goes way left...
-
Okay, thanks, I shot a 86 the other day so pretty good. Although I was still hooking my shots
-
However, what are some things I'm doing well?

For me it's putting... You can drop scores by making 10 footers. That's how I score well -
Thanks alot I'm heading out to the range today ill keep this in mind
-
Thanks alot guys... Honestly the only reason I can manage to get goos scores I because I am pretty athletic... Being a cross country runner for my highschool team and a former baseball, soccer, basketball player in middle school i am flexible and athletic. Therefore I am able to make compensations to help me hit it straight... I understand that as I get older i need a better swing to improve so I'm works on it now :)

Hooks and Slices.. Related?
mchichioco replied to mchichioco's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I know I have trouble with alignment for sure... However, my instructor, said I go way to far inside on my down swing. And I guess I'm not releasing my arms in the follow through.. Ill work on that though thanks -
Alright, yea I am a "perfectionist" so to speak and I try to get everything fixed at one time. But I went to a lesson and I've narrowed it down too, 1) head behind ball 2) more lag less cast 3) Finish follow through 4) 1 piece takeaway

I'm hooking all my irons, slicing my woods.. Help?
-
Hey guys.. So I used to be a horrible slicer. I would slice all clubs and it was a disaster. Fighting this slice my irons have a nice draw but my mishits are these snap hooks. My woods are usually sliced. My driver for some reason is always a slice, sometimes straight. How are these problems related? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

I've been looking at drills and I think what's happening is I'm flipping my wrists because 1) I'm all arms not enough rotation 2) I'm coming in way to inside So that results in me flipping to get it square which is usually a draw or hook Tell me if this is true!
-
I definitely will, I'll try to go to the range when I can... But honestly alot of people say you can become really good from hooking... Because its more of advanced problem... Well that's what I hear... I'm optimistic xD
