I have 1st generation Jpx pro. Love them. Mizuno is such a nice iron. I'm a tech dork and love getting new clubs but I think I'll keep these Mizuno for years to come.
  6. Thanks for input. I couldn't take it scheduled lesson with pro tomorrow, need it fixed.
  7. I had a great swing grooved. My ball flight started out left and drew slightly back onto target loved just watching it. Recently my ball is just hanging out there without drawing back in. I can feel something different with my swing but don't know wtf it is. So discouraging. I think I am staring to come in steep. I put a lot of time on range today and could not fix it, I started to get the shanks. My shots were coming off the heel. I injured my left hand 2 weeks ago and it still isn't 100%. Is it possible that the weakening of that hand is causing it. I can feel that I'm not releasing the club but don't know why, my driver and 3 wood are perfect. It just my irons suffering. A lot going on int that paragraph any thoughts are welcome. :~(

Its not where the ball is positioned that I'm talking about its where your wrists are unhinged. The fasted past of your swing looks a foot before the ball. Your hitting the ball almost with follow through (hence the forward shaft bend) That is probably why you hook. Your early release starts your ball flight either down the line with a hard spin or to the left of target all togther. If you hold that hinge until impact your flight will start a little right and draw back on target. Try keeping those wrist hinged till point of impact while pointing the heel of your left hand right of the target line. That's the bet way I can describe my feeling of holding lag unil impact.

If you look at -0.01 on the video you will notice your completely unhinged already almost a foot before the ball, that loses so much power on your swing.

From looking at your swing it looks like you release "the lag" early. In other words the fastest part of your swing is behind the ball. When you swing your club does the whoosh sound happen before or after you hit the club. If it happens before your not putting all your speed into impact. I'm a strong person and always had a fast swing. I could hit a 5 about 175-180 yards roughly. It was an athlete's swing. I took a lesson a month ago and if feels like I'm playing a different game since. I learned to hold my "lag" until impact. At impact it's like the club takes over rocketing my ball out towards my target. I now carry 190yards with 5 iron. My whoosh used to happen before before the ball but it was o loud I thought I was swing so fast, now the club just drops silently towards the ball and whips through the impact zone. That's just my experience with a fast swing vs an effective swing. I hope you don't take this negatively just my observation that could help you load those project X's
  11. I have 2 questions. 1st in a 3 man game my friend is a 8 hc I am a 13.8 and my other friend is a 26. We were on a hole everyone shot bogey. It was the 14hc hole so I don't get a stroke and the 26 handicap only strokes against the 8 but not me. How would the winner be determined. Second question we were playing 5$ a hole skins match. I won 20 skins the other guy got 16 skins and the third man got 8 skins. We were counting junk as 5 skins and birdie as double. That's why there are so many. How should the money be distributed. I believe I was cheaped out of money not purposely but I think we did the payouts wrong. Nor do I care they are just friendly games amongst friends. Just wondering how everyone else would have scored it. Ijust reviewed this and realized .it is written like one of those math word problems.
  12. My wife loves golf fashion. Not so much the wildly bright colors but she likes the white pants and plaids, and color coordinating. She buys me "outfits" 3 to be exact over the winter and a few more just last week. I like what she picks out it looks cool, but I havnt worn any yet. My game is so so and don't know if the walk backs up the talk sort to speak. What are your thoughts? Does it matter? Where I live and play the muni's require proper attire and my club obviously requires it. It not like I'm playing in a foursome with people wearing wrangler jeans and cargo pants. Just wondering what the population thinks. I can't be the only person with this issue.
  13. Protrader- I have never responded to a thread before but this is absurd. Protrader you sound delusional. If you could play with blades you would know what shaft was right for you, you wouldnt have to guess. You want the blades for when you hit that pure shot..any club hit pure will give you that tingly feeling. You don't need a blade for that. There is so much to say that I will not waste my time on. Bottom line if you felt confident in your ability to buy these clubs you would have purchased them already. Instead you go in the store ***** footing around waiting for the right fitter to say "awesome swing you should really get these clubs. Did you take lessons?" Where you will then respond, "thanks no I never took lessons only started playing again about a year ago and felt it was time to step up to the blade." Your questioning yourself about these clubs and you were upset when someone confirmed these are not for you. I play the JPX pro love them they have the forged feel, allow me to shape shot with a good swing. My 5 travels a true 200 yrds however on the occasion I misswing; on that long par three over a hazard I still get a good 150 yrds of carry, allowing me to chip up and worse walk away with a boge. The blade is doing nothing like that for me I miss hit that I'm re-teeing. I would be pissed I owned a club that looked great in the bag, looked good in my hand, & thats where the good and greats ended. In conclusion, a club will not create a good golf swing, practice and lessons will. You should develop a more consistant swing to allow yourself hours of endless fun with your blades. To achieve this result you should take half the money you were about to spend on these blades and get lessons. Visit this coach every two weeks until the $500 runs out. In between lessons spend 20min on the range at least 3 days a week working on what your swing coach tells you. Get good 9-18 holes played then hit the range to work on your swing. You'll have a better idea what to work on after 18 holes then before them. Once your consistenly hitting that purty push draw buy a used blade on ebay and go to the range with it. Hit that consistantly, At that point you realize you will never become great unless you own blades because all these other clubs are just masking your swing flaws. Walk into dick with confidence that when you step up to that swing monitor you will hit your purty push draw 3 times over. When a golfer has a good swing there is no stage fright. It's fun to swing in front of people. After the sales person is impressed and can't help but throw these forged blades into your bag, you can thank him/her for his/her time and walk out of there with a confident purchase. With these blades in the bag you will strike fear into the hearts of those unlucky enough to get paired with you in your local tournaments. It's either this or buy the blades now, while still haveing a 40 yard dispparitty with the same club & be forever known in your small town tournaments as THE HACK WITH THE NICE BLADES . THE END
