  2. This seems to be helping not only my release but also reducing a few fat and thin shot. I'm so glad I bought that practice net.
  3. So, I've had a rough time getting back into golf. Instead of just getting out there and winging it I'm trying to actually learn it. I'm trying to get my hands to release and I've read plenty of times that this should be more passive. I know that my grip is too tight. But if I loosen my grip to allow the hands to release where does the power come from? I feel odd letting the hands just follow through by themselves but it is effective. With that happening though I don't know how to get more force into it. The only way I can seem to do that is by tightening my grip.
  4. I've heard it's not uncommon for some to start they're hip turn back to the left before the backswing reaches the top, especially in those with a very strong grip.
  5. You guys are amazing. Thank you so much for spending so much time helping!
  6. I'd like to add that this is in reply to my thread here: http://thesandtrap.com/t/65936/palms-not-facing-each-other#post_827008 in regards to my right hand palm up wonky swing.
  7. My swing is live at http://thesandtrap.com/t/65940/my-swing-jco897j
  8. I've been Playing Golf for: 7 Years (not as often as I'd like) My current handicap index or average score is: 16 (this number is based off of only 5 rounds) My typical ball flight is: Slight Draw The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: I'm fairly consistant and satisfied with my swing. I'm looking for some friendly critique. Videos: Side: Front:
  9. I know it started when I was younger and realized that I would hit a slice because the clubface was open at impact. I knew that my right wrist wasn't turning over like it should and I couldn't get it to do it right. So I started swinging with my right wrist in that impact position at start.
  10. I'm uploading my videos for the My Swing forum right now. My right hand is literally palm up. It's odd and wonky but it works. I know it's the wrong way to do it but it's killing me trying to fix it.
  11. Now I know palms are supposed to face each other. My grip is odd in that my right palm faces up. My wrist is turned right nearly the whole way. I developed this over the years. If I want to hit a nice straight drive I just grip it and rip it. If I want a fade I turn that right wrist left a bit. If I want a draw I turn it right. I am incredibly consistent like this. Lately I've been trying to fix my grip but it just isn't going well. Now my question is. If I'm doing it the wrong way and getting the right result do I leave it alone?
